Did your friend just break up with her man? Going out on the town and feeling cute? Here are 11 songs to help you and your gals to feel even more badass than you already are!

1. "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" by Shania Twain

“Goin out tonight, I’m feelin alright, gonna let it all hang out!…The best thing about being a woman is the prerogative to have a little fun!”

Growing up as a woman is hard, and with all of the standards set for us, sometimes it’s a real challenge to have any fun. Admittedly, even when you’re having that fun, you can sometimes still feel really worried about being judged by your peers. Shania Twain reminds us that we’re allowed to have that fun, and as women, the best thing is that we are known to have tons of it. A confidence boost at its finest.

2. "Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood

"I might've saved a little trouble for the next girl, 'cause the next time that he cheats, oh y'know it won't be on me."

You’re too badass to put up with that "ish" anyway! Now, I am in no way suggesting to anyone that vandalism is the answer, but this song serves as a warning to others that you are just not to be messed with.

3. "Church Bells" by Carrie Underwood

"Jenny slipped something in his Tennessee Whiskey, no law man’s ever gonna find, and how he died is still a mystery, but he hit a woman for the very last time.”

Knowing that a woman like Jenny was able to escape what seemed like an impossible and inescapable situation inspires that kind of hope and confidence in others, so that they know that they can do it, too. Again, murder is not the best go-to, the implication that you can take your fate into your own hands is pretty empowering.

4. "Cowboy Casanova" by Carrie Underwood

“He’s a good time Cowboy Casanova leanin’ up against the record machine. Looks like a cool drink of water but he’s candy-coated misery. He’s a devil in disguise, a snake with blue eyes, and he only comes out at night.”

Learn how to spot ‘em early! It’s a talent, and one that every woman should know. Be able to spot the baddies before they do bad things to your heart and your sanity.

5. "Dirty Laundry" by Carrie Underwood

“I might string up your button-down, slide it on the porch, just in case you get the nerve to come knockin’ on my door.”

Just like the first Carrie Underwood song listed here, it’s empowering to know that you’re able to exact your revenge somehow after the cheating - even if that means pretending that you don’t even care and publicly humiliating your ex by broadcasting what he did. His actions should not be forgotten lightly.

6. "Ex’s & Oh’s" by Elle King

“1, 2, 3, they’re gonna run back to me...”

You are irresistible and unstoppable! Knowing that you can be seen as a potential heart breaker can make you feel hot - even if you don’t feel too terrific when you walk out of the house. And who doesn’t want to feel sexy?

7. "Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne

“She’s so stupid, what the hell were you thinking?”

Don’t worry girl, he’ll learn...one day. Although, it should also be noted that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and while this song does wonders in making you feel special and untouchable, you shouldn’t harm the girlfriend/boyfriend of a person you claim to care about unless they are harming your friend somehow.

8. "I Love That I Hate You" by Kane Brown

“I love that I hate you, can’t stop thinking about the time when you’re not here.”

Good. You don’t need him, anyway. The best revenge when someone hurts you is to pretend you don’t care (even if you do,) and show them that you’re better without them. Don’t let them think that you are hurt by them, even if you are.

9. "Me Too” by Meghan Trainor

“If I was you, I’d wanna be me, too.”

Well, yeah! You’re a badass! Nothing makes for a better ego boost than being amazed by the beauty that is you. Just don’t take it too far and try to bring others down, though.

10. "No Scrubs” by TLC

“I don’t want no scrubs, a scrub is a guy that can’t get no love from me, hangin’ out the passenger side of his best friend’s ride, tryin’ to holler at me.”

You ain’t got time for scrubs! Let’s be serious. You deserve your equal in a relationship, and at that, you deserve a man who respects you. Not a man who is indecent enough to yell catcalls and vulgarities at you from a car owned by his best friend.

11. "Primadonna" by Marina and The Diamonds

“All I ever wanted was the world. Can’t help that I need it all, primadonna life, the rise, the fall. You say that I’m kinda difficult, but it’s always someone else’s fault. Got you wrapped around my finger, babe, you can count on me to misbehave.”

You are a queen, after all! Don’t apologize for being amazing, just so long as you aren’t hurting anyone.

These songs are an instant pick-me-up for any occasion with your girls! Happy jamming and keep those eyebrows on point and those wings so sharp they could kill a man!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
