Sometimes, everything just sucks. There's no getting around it, everything just sucks. It happens to everyone, for some reason, everything that could possibly go wrong all decides to at once. Sometimes you can't do anything about it, you just have to sit back, and listen to some music. Listening to a song isn't going to solve your problems, but sometimes, you have to star in your own music video for a minute, especially when life is hitting you hard. Here's a list of songs to jam out to (and maybe sob to, if we're being honest) when everything really sucks.

1. "Thks fr th mmrs" by Fallout Boy

A lot of you may remember this song from your middle school emo phase, (a phase that for some us, never really ended, Pete Wentz will always have my heart.) but if you've never heard it, then go listen right now. If you're feeling nostalgic, angry, or just overall like you need to hear some angst ridden dude sing your emotions, this song will help.

2. "Medicine" by Daughter

Featured on their "Wild Youth" EP, this song, (and every song they release) is sure to hit you deep in your feels. Grab this tissues for this one folks. While you're out, be sure to check out Daughter's other songs.

3. "Fall" by Palisades

This song, which came out in February of 2016, is a great song to listen to when you feel utterly heart broken. It's rhythm, tempo, and chorus are all amazing, and it flows amazingly.

4. "Hallelujah" by Rufus Wainwright

Hard hitting lyrics, a twisted lullaby, and a melody sad enough to make you feel like putting on your big sweatpants, find a tub of ice cream, and not leave bed for at least three days. Better known to some as the Shrek song, and maybe rightfully slow as it will hit you in all of your layers.

5. "I'm Just A Kid" by Simple Plan

Are you just a kid, even though you are in fact a full blown adult? Is life a nightmare? If so, you will spiritually relate to this song. Perfect for those nights when you're all alone, and socializing is the last thing on your mind.

6. "Dark Times" by The Weeknd and Ed Sheeran

Have you ever felt like your life is a joke that the universe has taken too far? Have you ever had a week so bad you feel like you could sleep for three months straight? If so then you should give this song a listen to. If you just want to be sad for a few minutes, and cry it out, this will help.

7. "Maybe IDK" by Jon Bellion

A groovy beat, a stellar voice, and a heart of gold, every Jon Bellion song is sure to wow you. "Maybe IDK" is great for those days when you just don't have a clue what is going on in your life, or where to go from here.

8. "Unsteady" by X Ambassadors

The song itself is wonderful and the music video is even better. Another tear jerker for sure. Hold onto this song.

9. "Taxi Cab" by Twenty One Pilots.

You ever just wanna get in your car and drive for a really long time? No destination in my mind, no plan. You just gotta drive away. This is a good song to drive away from everything to. Don't be afraid.

10. "Between the Bars" by Elliot Smith.

Have you ever had one of those days where you just don't want anyone to ask you how're you doing? You don't want to tell anyone else anything. You just wanna be tired. I guess we're doing fine. Between the Bars is a great song for when you're not really sure how you're doing.

Things suck, music doesn't. I hope you give these songs a listen, and I hope whatever you're dealing with, you have some solid music to help you through it.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
