There’s the girl who is shy, introverted, quiet and a listener. There’s also the girl who is spontaneous, full of life, extroverted and charismatic. There’s another girl who is expressive, powerful and full of persistence. Then there’s the girl who is full of firepower, confidence, unafraid to speak her mind and unapologetically sassy.

The unapologetically sassy girl has traits that every girl should be unafraid to portray. She’s different from everyone else, but in the best possible way. Some are unable to understand her, but this explains why it is perfectly OK to be unapologetically sassy.

She thrives with confidence. Independence is her greatest attribute, and she will never need or ask for anyone’s reassurance. The way she carries herself in public is with grace, sophistication and her head held high. While her confidence can be intimidating, she knows that the best way to achieve confidence is to bring others up with you, rather than tearing them down.

Honesty is her best policy. Integrity is something she always strives to achieve, and she expects it from everyone else as well. Honesty strengthens her character, making each day of living simpler because she has nothing to hide. She’s honest with her loved ones and herself.

She rarely apologizes. She will apologize for her role in a negative event, but that is pretty much it. She won’t apologize for speaking her opinion. She will not apologize for asking too many questions or for bothering you. She knows her worth and will use it to her full capacity. You will never hear an apology from a lack of self-confidence, even in her most troubling times. Unless if she truly did something wrong, she will not apologize for it.

She has a voice. She’s never afraid to stand up for what is right. Her family and friends are the most important things in her life, and she will defend them with every inch of her body and soul. She’s compassionate about equal rights and is never afraid to speak her mind. She knows the difference between right and wrong very well, and she isn’t afraid to call anyone out when there is a confusion between the two.

She is strong. She’s been through a lot. She’s been emotionally broken through lost friendships, relationships, dreams, etc. She’s been through the worst and knows how dark it can get down there. However, she knows herself because of this. No one would dare to step on her toes or get in her way. She’s comfortable in her own skin and has no hesitation in standing up for herself if she receives the slightest bit of disrespect.

She is beautiful. Inside and out. Her smile glows and her laughter can be heard from miles and miles away. She’s the type of friend that will never leave your side. No matter the distance or if times have changed, she will always be there for you if you need anything. She has spent a lot of time alone, figuring out how to best love and treat herself. She knows and loves herself best, therefore she knows how to love others effectively and with compassion.

So go outside with confidence, channel your inner Beyoncé, and be the queen of the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
