Paris, the capital of France, suffered from a series of interconnected terrorist attacks in six different locations. The devastating death toll was determined to have reached at least 129 victims as announced by the French public prosecutor.

At the time, other shootings were being reported on various streets of the city. The most horrendous occurrence was inside the Bacalan, the concert hall where a California rock group was playing for hundreds of gathered fans. There many were taken hostage by gunmen reportedly carrying AK-47s whom later proceeded to shoot the hostages and bomb themselves as the police carried an assault to free the hostages. At least 80 people were killed and the number of freed hostages is yet to be reveled.
It wasn't long after the events that the world started showing solidarity for the people of France. Facebook launched a support mechanism where people can place the French flag as a background for pictures. Though the support is quite just, another horrible attack was left unnoticed by the media.
The attack on Paris is not the only attack to have taken place this week. In fact, just a day earlier, another terrorist attack grieved the city of Beirut the capital of Lebanon.
The attack which was reportedly adopted by ISIS targeted the southern part of the city in Bourj Al Barajneh, which is known to be a very crowded area.

The death toll was 43 victims and 229 people were injured.
Though both attacks are inhumane and have resulted in the loss of innocent lives, only one was fully covered by the media causing some astonishment amongst people. One of them is Angelina Jolie, the American actress who shared a picture on the social networks praying for both grieved countries. Other people worldwide started showing support for Lebanon, as well, after the news was spread over the social media. This reflects the uneven coverage of the media when it comes to such devastating events.
It is important to note out that Lebanon has been suffering from these attacks since 2013. While one attack was all it took for Facebook to show solidarity with France, 5 attacks in Lebanon were not enough.
It is a shame to see that not all lives have the same value. Regardless, the week has witnessed the loss of many people and it is simply sad.
In the light of such dreadful conclusión, it is only fair to say that we send prayers not only to París and Beirut, but also, to Japan, Mexico, Baghdad, Sryia, and Jerusulm.
Prayers for the World and to all those grieving.
