So... it's a new semester and it's time to join or stress over whether or not the sorority liked you or not. Certain schools already rushed and some new members already have their bigs, but for sororities in smaller schools, the process can be a much slower and painful one. But don't fret, because once the initial stress is over, the next couple of weeks will be fun, fun, learning about your founders and more fun.

Okay the first week after your interest night can be super rough.
Super stressful and most certainly full of self doubt. But do not fret. If you are waiting for an email "during the week" and haven't gotten it by around noon on Tuesday, do NOT email them about pulling your name. You want this. You know you want this. The email will come and it will come SOON do not fret.

Once that week is over, it's time for a celebration.
Remember that cute little dance montage that was most certainly in their recruitment video? Yeah THAT's the kind of fun that you are about to have. Please just stick it out and definitly do NOT advertise what you get in emails or phone calls because the recruitment and after recruitment process is completely confidential and certain organizations will come after you if you post their secrets. So just don't, okay? I get you're excited, but there are certain things that are just better if left unsaid.

If however, you do not get in, do not fret my pets.
A good chunk of the time they will tell you why and if they don't, do not give up. Come out again and prove that you are your own unique, beautiful and wonderful person. Rememeber, you is smart, you is kind, you is important. Sometimes you meet the wrong girls or you just don't vibe with certain people and that is not your fault and should most definitely not get discouraged.

Sororities can be a lot of fun and are able to do a lot of good. But if you do not get in or don't find a good fit, don't give up. You are completely worthy of everything and will do great things even if this isn't one of them. Have a great day lovelies!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
