So you've found your best friend, your soulmate, the peanut to your butter, the person you have your own hashtag with, and everything else that is just so, so sweet and hard to find. There's just one problem: you live far away. In a different city. In a different state. Maybe even in a different country. But some things never change, and distance sure as anything doesn't tamper with your friendship. It just makes some things a little harder...
1. You have Skype/Facetime sessions all the time.
Making inside jokes even when you're miles and oceans apart.
2. And when they don't answer, this happens.
It's so unlike them. Why aren't they answering? Fifty missed phone calls later...
3. A built-in support system's just a phone call away.
Even if you can't hug 'em, their voice and wisdom are enough.
4. You spam them with Instagram likes and Facebook notifications.
It's basically in the job description.
5. Then you see their other friends and a jealous side pops up.
But then you remember you're still #1.
6. You really wish teleportation was a thing.
Sigh. People in the year 2250, you got it good.
7. You come up with a book club as a reason to talk weekly.
And to read about the bad boys who are secretly good (only in novels).
8. Care packages are most definitely a thing.
It's the thought that counts.
9. They're your number one on Snapchat, obviously.
Only one person gets to see these kinds of photos, plus the stalker pics of all the cuties you see.
10. And when you finally get reunited, you give them the biggest hug you can.
Hug meaning you tackle them to the ground in a very excited, loving kind of way.
11. Goodbyes are always the hardest.
It sucks, the sad movie music is playing in your head, but you know that you'll see each other soon and your heart will be happy again.
12. You count down the days until you get to see them next, because you couldn't live without this awesome relationship.
And you'll never forget it.
