Ah Yes! Freshman year a time where you can explore the world with your new found freedom. I am halfway through my Freshman year and so far it has had its up and downs! But there are many I have learned so far and I can not wait to learn more things!

1. 8 am classes are not as bad as they seem.

Well, I am a morning person so this may be different for some but, really they are not that bad! So wake up sleepy head!

2. Cafeteria food does not improve as much from high school.

It will be like food heaven at first, but then it will the same thing forever! And keep in mind its not gourmet food. But, taco night, chicken nuggets, and fried chicken days are awesome!

3. You will not stick with your orientation friends.

4. You will not keep your room as clean as you anticipated!

So much random paper and taco bell wrappers! Like how in the world?!

5. You will absolutely HATE those corny icebreaker activities!

I do not want to meet new people!

6. You WILL walk into the wrong class.

Hey, it happens.

7. You will miss your Mom and Dad the days or weeks.

But, trust me you CAN do your laundry!

8. Your first friend will be your roommate.

So congrats you made your friend! And one that will last a lifetime.

9. You will see WAY TO MUCH PDA.

Get a room you crazy kids! Eww Love! says the single person!

10. You will have that one hard professor!

Excuse me for not turning something in because the printer is broken.

11. You will fail the first test.

It will be hard but, you will get better at it trust me! And, everyone does bad on their test.

12. Your budget will have the infamous college student budget!

You will have a helpfull budget of zero!

13. Over time you will have the BEST squad on campus.

Trust me you will have a GOOD group of friends! Yall will go on so many adventures!

14. Campus activities are fun!

Who knew inflatable obstacle courses are fun?

15. You know you want to join that club!

16. You have more time than you think!

So, manage it well.

17. You will make friends, just be patient!

Everyone is a little nervous! People will warm up to you.

18. You might change your major.

But, in the end you made the right desicion! So, if you feel the need to do it. Plus, you have time to think about when you are doing your general education classes.

19. While at college it will grow and shape you!

You will not be the same person you were when you walked in. You will discover new things about yourself and become a new person. It will be an amazing transformation.

20. Things will get harder but, remember why you're there.

Keep in mind your hard work and late night studying will be worth it in the end! B's get degrees!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
