If you're from the tri-state area you are more than aware of the record-breaking warm weather we have been having. Clear skies and light layers on Christmas morning, who ever heard of such a thing? Luckily it's been getting a bit colder each and every day. You know what that means? Snow day!
This time. last year we were already snowed in just one week after classes had started, and just a week or so after, another storm kept us home for another couple days. Also, let's not forgot the Valentine's Day Blizzard of 2015. It seemed like we would never see green land again. Last year's abundance of snowfall has prepared us for every single future snow storm. So, although lately the temperature has made us doubt snowfall, you know it's coming. Here a list of things you must absolutely do during the snow days of 2016!
Eat.
If you were smart, you would have prepared for the snow day but heading to the supermarket and buying just about every frozen pizza and rolls of cookie dough. Some people go for milk, batteries, and water, but none of those taste as good as raw cookie dough.
Netflix.
As your eating your pizza and snuggled up on the couch with your housemates it's the perfect time for some serious Netflix marathons. My favorite movie to watch during snow days is Breakfast at Tiffany's! (But then again, it's my favorite movie to watch no matter what the weather is!)
Catch up on school work.
A snow day is a perfect day to get ahead on some school work and assignments. Now you have a whole 24 hours free to get that paper that was due the day before and study for the exam that was supposed to be the day of the storm!
Instagram.
Go around and capture a great picture of campus covered in a blanket of snow. Nothing gets the likes flowing quite like a scenic snow pic. Just do it for the gram.
Online shopping.
Getting to the mall might be a bit unrealistic due to the snow but that doesn't mean shopping is completely out of the picture. Besides, while you have the time you might as well start shopping for the perfect spring break bikini.
Yoga.
Speaking about that spring break bikini, try doing a few simple yoga moves to get in shape and warm up your body!
Drink.
Drink everything. Whatever is in your fridge just drink it. Wine, beer, margs, whatever. Anything goes if it snows!
Build a super cool igloo. And then drink in the igloo.
Frolic around in the snow.
Wear PJ's all day.
Because the only time you'll need to leave the house is to play in the snow, there is absolutely no excuse to put on real pants or shoes. The best part about snow days is being able to finish the day in the same pajamas you woke up in.
Think about summer.
Because snow will never compare to laying on the beach.
