Smoothie Bowls are the best thing that have graced the counter top in my kitchen. They’re healthy, super easy to make, and taste oh so freakin good! I only just discovered them this summer actually and I really don’t know how I made it through life before then because I whip up a smoothie bowl almost every day now. I’m sure you’ve scrolled upon them on the gram before and have always wanted to try and make one for yourself, but if you were like me you probably overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. I’m a terrible cook ya’ll but ANYONE can make these antioxidant beauty bowls. They are so many different kinds too! I’m going to share with you my go to, mixed berry bowl so go find your blender and berries, boys and girls!

You’re going to need a liquid base to start out with. Usually this is milk. I opt for unsweetened almond milk! You’ll also need one banana, some fresh berries, frozen berries, Greek nonfat vanilla or plain yogurt, granola, peanut or almond butter, honey, and if you’re feeling super healthy and fresh, add some chia seeds in there too! Chia seeds are a great super food and they add a subtle crunch which you’ll love. You’ll also need a blender of course.

If you’re a cool kid, you’ll use your Ninja blender but if you’re a broke college kid like me, a $14 blender from Target will work just as well. Throw in there about a cup of almond milk and a half a cup (or more if you prefer) of yogurt. Greek nonfat yogurt is an excellent source of protein so you’ll def want to add some in there! Next, add half a banana. Make sure you add everything in this order so that it’s easier to blend up. Then you’re going to add in the fruit. I usually throw in a cup of blueberries and raspberries and a cup of strawberries. Half a cup to a cup of frozen berries goes in next. If that’s too fruity for you, you can add ice instead. You want your bowl as cold as possible, plus this will add some thickness. Finally, blend it all up!

At this point you have made your smoothie. The next step is to pour it into a bowl so now it is officially a smoothie bowl J. This where things get fun! The possibilities are endless here and you are free to add whatever you desire. I always cut up the other half of the banana and place it around in the bowl. I will also cut up more strawberries, and throw some fresh blueberries in there as well. Then I’ll pour some granola on top for some crunch! Sometimes I like to finish it off with some almond butter and drizzle honey on top. Oh, and don’t forget the chia seeds!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
