Sleeping With Someone Else In The Bed Is Best

If you're like me and love to cuddle and don't take up the whole bed, then you know that falling asleep with someone next to you is better than falling asleep alone. There are multiple reasons why I sleep better when I'm cuddling with someone else. A few of those reasons are that you'll never get cold, you have someone to play with your hair or rub your arm while trying to fall asleep, and you can fall asleep to the calmness of their heartbeat/breathing.

When you're sleeping with someone or even just cuddling you warm up faster than when you are alone. This is because you have someone else's body heat to keep you warm. This is really nice if you're someone like me who likes multiple blankets and can get cold pretty easily. So having someone else in bed with me really keeps me warm. I don't think I've ever been cold while cuddling with someone else. Now you may be thinking 'well what if you get too hot?' which is something that does happen. However, even then you could switch what position you're laying. There is more than one position that you can cuddle in. So, if you do end up getting hot then you could just lay in a different position.

Another reason why it's better sleeping with someone with you is that they can play with your hair or rub your arm. I don't know about anyone else, but I am a very anxious person and it tends to get worse when I'm trying to sleep. So, when someone is playing with my hair I feel instantly more relaxed because of how soothing it feels. It honestly helps me fall asleep because I feel calm. It's one of the best feelings in the world and I will fight you on that. I just wish that I had someone that would play with my hair more often.

Lastly, if I'm still having trouble sleeping I can just focus on the other person's heartbeat or focus on their breathing pattern. Something about that also calms me down a lot. I think it may be because when I do focus on the other person heartbeat/breathing I try to match it; therefore it forces me to slow down my breathing and in turn slows my heart rate. However, I'm not too sure why it is relaxing it but it is. In a way it's kind of like you can relax because there's someone else there and you feel safe, or at least that's how I feel.

All together these three things make it really hard for me not to fall asleep. Therefore, sleeping with someone else in the bed with you is better than sleeping alone. You can't change my mind and thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
