We live in a time where bae has replaced sweetie, word has replaced iight and lit has replaced crunk. With each generation comes new slang, and the millennials have succeeded in trying to shorten just about every phrase. So, darty it up with your b's and don't finna be sus.

1. Bae

Definition: Before Anybody Else. It can be your best friend, food or basically anything you love.

2. Lit

Definition: Can either be used to describe something that is hype and enjoyable or to describe someone who is under the influence.

3. Darty

Definition: Day party. A perfect excuse for college students to day drink once early fall and late spring rolls around and the weather is nice.

4. Dab

Definition: A dance move made popular by the rap group, Migos, where the person mimics a sneezing motion, used by many athletes during celebratory dances and by people listening to rap music.

5. Turn up

Definition: A term used encouraging people to party hard and get excited.

6. WYD

Definition: A shorthand for asking "what are you doing?" Commonly sent as a booty call late at night.

7. AF

Definition: Shorthand for "As f**k." Commonly used after adjectives in place of the word very.

8. Salted

Definition: When you're feeling mad and frustrated at someone or something.

9. Brick

Definition: When it's freezing outside.

10. OD

Definition: A shorthand for overdone. When somebody is just too much.

11. Swerve

Definition: When you want to intentionally dodge or ignore somebody.

12. YAASSS

Definition: A more exciting way of saying yes.

13. Force

Definition: When something or somebody requires way too much effort; exaggeration.

14. B

Definition: A shorthand for saying bro.

15. Word

Definition: Used in place of the phrases "cool," "alright" or "really?"

16. Hip

Definition: Aware, informed.

17. Itis

Definition: The tired feeling proceeding a large meal.

18. Deada**

Definition: Used in place of the word really or seriously.

19. Thot

Definition: "That hoe over there." Used to describe girls who dress and act promiscuously.

20. Ratchet


Definition: A girl who is trashy, ghetto and a hot mess all of the time.

21. Fire

Definition: When someone or something looks really hot. Also, when a song is really good.

22. Finna

Definition: Used instead of the phrase "about to" or "going to."

23. Sus

Definition: When someone is acting suspect.
