Bad skin is something that no one wants to deal with. It can create discomfort, insecurities, and inconvenience at any age. We don't realize the daily habits we have that affect our cleanliness. Those habits may be causing the issues we have triggering acne and keeping it longer than wanted. It isn't always easy figuring out a new routine so hopefully these five steps can ease into the daily lives of you or someone you know!
Wash One to Two Times Daily
It is incredibly important to make sure that your face stays clean to ensure being clear. Making sure to always wash at night is great, and if your skin does not dry out easily, in the morning as well. Over washing can cause drying out so be cautious of the soaps you use. It helps to understand the type of skin you have prior to finding a great washing routine.
Do NOT Touch Your Face
We all have dirty hands no matter what anyone says. It is super easy to pick up bacteria so why touch your face with your dirty hands. A major cause of acne is by touching things to our faces that contain an immense amount of germs and bacteria. From your phone being up to your cheek or resting your chin in your palms on a desk, it can be a hard habit to break but super worth it. If you are going to touch your face make sure your fingers and hands are clean.
Drink Lots of Water
Never underestimate how good water can be for you in many ways. After all water hydrates the cells that essentially, make your skin. The more hydrated, the cleaner, the better your skin will look. Healthier skin cells can prevent quick aging and heal damages quicker.
Don't Sleep in Your Makeup
Probably being one of the most common causes for acne in women is passing up a quick rinse and sleeping in our makeup. It is easier just passing out at the end of the day, but we pay for it the next few days with a couple of zits popping up to our surprise. Makeup can contain many chemicals and bacteria especially depending on the brush and or tool you use to apply it. Clear skin is not the only thing you bargain when sleeping in your makeup. Eye health can be disturbed leaving chemicals and germs in such sensitive areas.
Make Sleep a Major Priority
Good sleep is important for everyone. When we are asleep, our bodies regenerate cells and perspire the toxins. Developing a good sleep pattern can improve hormonal functions, which will help keep acne at bay. While sleeping more aids in immune function, our bodies can fight off bad bacteria more than if we did not sleep so well.
