We all have those days, weeks or even months where life is crazy. It's as if everything that can go wrong, goes wrong. First, you get stressed because your to-do list is never ending. Then, you get a test back that you failed or an email from your boss that isn't too nice. Bring on the bad mood and lack of motivation. If only you had time to sit down, relax and refresh. Just when you think you can't get more stressed or in a worse mood, you begin to have friend problems.
You begin to start overthinking every little text and conversation you have with your friends and begin to think they hate you. Most of the time, they don't hate you at all. It's just you and your bad mood over analyzing everything. As the day, week or month continues, things just seem to continue to get worse. While you go through your stressful time, here are some things we all need to remember.
1. Things will get better.
Yes, things seem terrible now, and it may seem like the bad things will never end, but things will get better. The storm will pass eventually!
2. You will be OK.
I know things are rough right now, but I promise you will get through this, and you will be OK.
3. You are not alone.
Although you may feel alone, you aren't. There are people cheering you on and who will always be there for you. Sometimes, they may not seem like they are there for you, but they are. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask for help or a hug.
4. You are strong.
Although you may feel week, you are strong. You are strong enough to make it through this hard time. You can do anything you put your mind to!
5. You are beautiful.
Just in case no one has told you, you are beautiful! Those tears in your eyes as you see that bad test grade or that bad email – they make you beautiful. That smile you get when you check something off of your to-do list – it makes you beautiful. The nervous laugh you have as you have an hour to write a five-page paper – it makes you beautiful. The strength you show as you make it through your hard time – it makes you beautiful.
6. You are loved.
No matter what happens during this hard part of life, you will always be loved. There will always be people who love you. If you ever feel unloved, just close your eyes and think of your happy memories. Those people in your memories love you and always will.
Hard times will come and go in life, and somedays, you will feel like giving up, but remember you can get through this because you are strong, beautiful and loved!
