An Open Letter To My Sisters

A semester has passed and here is what I have to say to all of you.

An Open Letter To My Sisters

Dear Alpha Gamma Delta, I have spent a semester being apart of this giant family. I have loved everyone single minute of it! On bid day, I made an awkward and untimely appearance and began immediately started making memories with you all. It was that day that I met one of my best friends and my Big, who I will treasure forever. I didn’t know that I would end up here, so in love with all of you.

I didn’t know a single person on a bid day, and I’m so happy that I now know the names of eighty of my favorite people at this school. I don’t know how I would have gotten through my first semester without all of you; it was my first time away from home and my classes were hard. But you all believed in me, always, and pushed me to do better and try harder.

No matter what was going on, I could find someone willing to listen and help me. Several people, most of the time. I am never unsure about my friendships or about the love that we all share, it is as true as true could be. We have one of the strongest sisterhoods and I am so thankful for this system of support. At the sisterhood retreat as we all sat around that bonfire and everyone shared their stories of love and friendship in this chapter, I felt so at home and comfortable with all of you.

I am definitely sure I have found my bridesmaids in this chapter and I am so grateful for the friends and bonds that it has given me. It’s given me some pretty cool leadership and service opportunities too. I am only getting more excited as the year goes on and I am so excited to welcome more girls into this sisterhood. I hope that everyone gets to experience this kind of friendship, love, and support from their chapter. I know that most of my favorite memories will happen in this chapter with my sisters and I will cherish them and all of you forever, even if you move to Disney World or graduate (and stay).

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
