They ride in on a dark parade
Dancing over the sea in their iron ship,
Eyes hungry for the impending land.
They heard rumors of ethereal creatures
Taking claim on the once barren land
Leering men to the rocks, who
are never to be seen again.
These men, like all men, did not
Listen to the warning,
They believed they could capture
the ethereal creatures for themselves.
As they got closer they started
To hear the song,
Immediately enraptured they staggered
forward toward the women.
The bow crashed first, and the
Rest of the ship followed,
No screams escaped the lips of the
men,their faces were frozen with
Pleasure from the sirens.
They died how they lived
Happy with the fact that greed got them
what they wanted.
Even if it lead to death.
