To all my single ladies: listen up! We are throwing it back to 2012 with your typical #JustGirlyThings summer list, but this time you better accomplish it.
1. Do something crazy with your hair.
Whether it is cutting it all off to dying it into a superficial color, that's what summer is all about. Summer is about creating yourself after giving all your potential to the summer you have now left in the past. It is about moving on to the next chapter of life, and you can't completely do that without feeling yourself and your aspired hairstyle.
2. Get a tattoo.
It is about creating yourself like we talked about. I know for a fact you have pictures of tattoos you've saved either from Pinterest, Instagram, or your Tumblr. This is the time to finally get it tattooed to your skin forever! Tattoos speak your soul out loud.
3. Go on a road trip with your besties.
Perhaps all your girl friends are from different states and have gone home. Leave the excuses out and get on with your traveling bucket list. Road trips with your favorite gals are always the best, especially moments like when getting off in your PJs to go to a random bathroom at a gas station or a random Macdonald's.
4. Have a sleepover.
Sleepovers are underrated. Life should be lived like a chick flick movie with your gals! Nothing compares to staying up all night and discussing conspiracy theories and crying your feelings out loud.
5. Join the gym and the fit life.
This is coming from the laziest person on Earth, and it is OK to park at the closest spot to the gym's entrance. Exercising releases endorphins and endorphins make people happy, you want to be at your fullest of life.
6. Get a summer job.
Believe it or not, I have met most of my best gals at school but also at my job. A part-time job can always be fun, look on the bright side; you can make some extra cash and be somehow entertained in your new daily routine.
7. Go to a concert.
A concert is the best investment you can make. Small indie bands from your Spotify/Apple Music Playlist will always be the most affordable concerts, but also the most fun because it'll be a smaller crowd and you will appreciate every moment of it.
8. Photoshoots at the beach.
The beach is a must do on your summer bucket list! It's not so much about the photoshoots but about the memories with your gals.
9. Make a "free hugs t-shirt" and walk around the beach.
Everyone back in 2012 dreamt of this, so might as well make it come true in 2019.
10. Tie-dye shirts.
We are bringing the '70s fashion back already, so might as well the dye your own tee-shirts for your summer wardrobe.
11. Write a book.
Time to put your imagination and deepest feelings to the paper. It all begins with a journal and then becomes a book. Take the opportunity of writing this summer.
12. Leave a nice note on a stranger's car.
We are really throwing it back to the Tumblr life of 2012. This one will make you feel very accomplished as you make a stranger's day better.
13. Listen to "22" by Taylor Swift on replay and live by it.
The 13th thing is for Taylor Swift. "22" is one of her best songs about "feeling happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time."
14. Get a piercing.
Whether it is a nose piercing, an ear piercing, or a belly button piercing.
15. Get your driver's license.
I have a lot of friends in college without their driver's license so this is your time to shine!
16. Read books.
Reading is absolutely amazing because it can really expand your knowledge, so read on.
17. Go partying.
There's nothing wrong with having a good time, a night out with your gals. Go out and have some fun.
18. Try healthy eating challenges.
No strict diets this summer, but how about a month without ice cream?
19. Make summer of 2019, your summer.
Make summer of 2019 as memorable as possible, may this be the best summer of our lives.
