If you or anyone you know has ever played any Sims games before, you may already be fully aware of how truly addicting the game can be. I myself was never a huge Sims player on the actual computer or gaming system, but my older sisters were. I used to sit and watch them play for literal hours. I loved the fact that you could control the entire story and create a world exactly to your liking. It was better than TV. Of course, I was always too young to create my own families or play by myself, but watching was honestly entertaining enough, so did I care? No, honestly I thought it was cool to just sit and watch my sisters do things. Ahh, the life of a little sister.
After my sisters moved out, my exposure to computer games waned and so did my relationship with The Sims. I am someone who is very stingy with their data usage and media storage, so I figured downloading my own Sims game would take up too much needed room. That's why I never downloaded the game for myself, until I found The Sims Mobile.
The Sims Mobile is everything I ever needed from a computer game/app. Why is it so great, one might ask? Well, for starters, it's free, unlike most Sims games. It's quick, it's easy, and it doesn't take up an unfathomable amount of storage on your mobile device. From the minute I downloaded it, I knew this app would be my new favorite way to waste time. It's the perfect game to pop in and out of, because you don't have to be taking care of them at all times.
I'm not usually someone who would label themselves as a "gamer". I enjoy playing the Nintendo Switch or an occasional game of Fortnite with my boyfriend here or there, but I can't relentlessly sit in front of a screen for hours flexing my thumbs and frying my brain. That's what's so great about The Sims Mobile. Your Sims can progressively live, even if you're not actively playing. When I go to work, I send my Sims to work at the same time, and by the time I'm done with my shift, my Sims are done with theirs, and I feel a strange, nerdy sense of completion. It's kind of cool having something that semi-relies on you to care for it. It's like having a pet or a kid without any of the actual work or risk. Disclaimer: if you can't successfully sustain your Sims family because it's too much work, please reconsider having an actual family. Real families are real work. Who would have thought?
