Christmas is almost here, and I can hardly wait! After weeks of shopping and hours of baking, I am looking forward to finally being able to sit around the Christmas tree and share this special holiday with my family. However, I have a few more gifts to give to friends before I can relax. Since it is so close to the holiday, malls will be swarming with last-minute shoppers, something I desperately want to avoid. Instead of going out and buying a present for them, I decided to make a few simple DIY gifts that they are sure to love. It makes it more personable, and they are so fun and easy to make!
Peppermint Sugar Scrub
Ingredients:
¼ cup of coconut oil (melt in microwave if not already liquid)
1 cup of granulated sugar
5 drops of essential peppermint oil
2 drops of red food coloring (optional)
Combine all of the ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl, and then scoop the scrub into a small mason jar. That’s it!
Hot Cocoa Mix Ornaments
Ingredients:
1 single serving package of instant hot chocolate mix
1 clear plastic fillable ornament
1 package of Jet Puffed Mallow Bits
Red/green sprinkles or crushed candy cane bits
Take the top off of the ornament. Use a funnel to pour each ingredient into the ornament, starting with the hot chocolate mix. Next, add the sprinkles or crushed candy cane bits (or both), and then the marshmallow bits. Put the top back on and you’re finished! Tie a ribbon on the ornament top to make it more festive.
