7 Signs You Definitely Belong In Ravenclaw

When Pottermore first became a thing, and you took the Sorting Hat quiz, you may have been disappointed to be sorted into Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor. However, if you didn't retake the quiz until you got Gryffindor and just accepted Ravenclaw, you probably learned to embrace it. How could you not with such an iconic Ravenclaw such as Luna Lovegood? I mean, arguably, she's the best character in the whole series. (But that's just my opinion)

Or, you may have never taken the Sorting Hat quiz, and you're not quite sure what Hogwarts House you belong to. That's okay! Some of the Harry Potter cast members didn't even know their sorting until just a few years ago. Most of them didn't even belong to the houses that they played in. Nothing was more surprising than when Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) got sorted into Gryffindor. If you haven't seen the video, Click Here to check it out. Some of the results may shock you!

I am a Ravenclaw. I got sorted a few years ago, and I originally got Slytherin, but I knew deep down that I was a Ravenclaw, so I kept taking the quiz until I got the results I wanted which makes me a Slytherin. If you're all for the hybrid House theory, I'm a Slytherclaw.

Being a Ravenclaw means that I know no other House better than my own. I'm not good at sorting my friends or being able to type fictional characters into a Hogwarts House. But, I can tell when someone is a Ravenclaw. Here are a few signs you or your friends belong in Ravenclaw.

1. You're the "smart friend" of the group

You may not be, really, but you like to believe you are. Or, at least, you gloat that you belong to the "smart house." But above all, you value your intelligence, and when you take personality quizzes, that's the trait you always choose.

2. You're creative

You're always coming up with new ideas! Whether it be a new idea for a book or a new painting. You can often be found intensely focused on whatever story you're typing or covered in paint.

3. You're not afraid to be yourself

Just like Luna Lovegood, you don't really care what others think of you. You're not shy when it comes to showing your true colors and being yourself. You'd rather people like you for you, however odd you may be, and not for the act you put on.

4. You're extremely good at solving riddles

I mean, you kinda have to be to get into your own common room! You're an ace when it comes to those weird riddles that no one else gets. You also may enjoy word games or puzzles.

5. You love to read and learn

Of course, there are going to be a few classes that you just can't stand but overall, you love school and love to learn new things. You are never done learning.

You also love to read books; books about anything at all. You can always be found in a library or a bookstore or cuddled up with your favorite novel.

6. You're introverted

Sometimes you just need some alone time. You get easily drained and don't particularly enjoy situations in crowded spaces with a lot of people. You'd much rather be home, alone, with your dog or cat.

7. You enjoy vintage things

You love listening to vinyl instead of streaming music and love watching old movies. (Old meaning 90s and older). You love vintage fashion even if you can't afford that style yourself and find yourself attracted to the historical rather than the modern.

These are just a few things that most Ravenclaws do. Of course, every Ravenclaw is different. Just like its members, it is not cookie-cutter. Ravenclaws are unique, and you should be proud to belong to this house.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
