1. You know it’s “all about the U”
You have completely perfected your “U” and will throw it up anywhere and everywhere. You also have no shame asking any famous person you meet to throw up the “U” with you.
2. You’re sick of people thinking school is vacation
No, I don’t live on the beach, no I don’t live in South Beach, it’s actually 30 minutes away. Between classes and the abundance of work you get, you rarely have time to go to the beach or the pool.
3. Wednesdays are your FAVORITE day of the week
Farmer’s market. Enough said.4. You have posted a picture of Lake Osceola and the Shalala Center at least once on social media
Nothing like scrolling through your Snapchat stories and seeing 25 stories of the lake in a row!!5. Tavern Tuesdays and Sandbar Thursdays have become habitual
The Grove is always a move. The packed bar and instant sweating, however, is not very enjoyable.
6. You despise the FSU Seminoles
The Seminole chant will instantly get stuck in your head and you should expect to hear it at any event (even if we are not playing FSU).
7. You are still not used to living in a makeshift zoo
Ducks waddling all around campus, ibis lurking in the grass, fish flying out of the water, and occasionally the famous crocodile in the lake that is bound to make EVERYONE’S Snapchat story.
8. Once you step off-campus everyone speaks Spanish
Even if you are not fluent, you have learned to pick up small talk in Spanish so your Uber drivers don’t get you completely lost.
9. You pass the Rat and it is completely packed
From your freshman year days walking the opposite way just to avoid being stopped by the frat boys hanging out at The Rat, to your junior and senior year where you grab a pitcher before class, you know you will always have an interesting story about The Rat.
10. The UC Pool is your favorite hangout spot
Not every school has a pool on campus nor year- round 80-degree weather. So, if you attend UM, you definitely take advantage of this.
