Whether you’re a senior in college or a senior in high school there comes a point in the year where you are done with school. You’re tired of the early morning routine and constant studying. Sometimes you just say, “I don’t care anymore.” In your mind, you have mentally graduated.

If you have experienced any of these signs, odds are you are SO done with school...

1. Forcing yourself out of bed

You force yourself to get up in the morning and go to school. Sleeping in sounds a lot better than getting up.

2. Roll your eyes when people ask if you went to class

When your parents ask if you went to class, you roll your eyes and sigh. They just don’t get how you’re so over school…

3. Rolling into class late

You stroll into the room and take a seat in the back. Being late doesn’t bother you anymore.

4. You wear PJ's to class

You wake up in some old t-shirt and sweatpants. Is this acceptable to wear to class? Absolutely! You head into class looking like you just rolled out of bed because you actually just did.

5. Skipping class

You develop the pattern of skipping class once a week. No big deal. Then, it turns into skipping the whole week.

6. You decide textbooks aren’t necessary

You’ve bought textbooks for four years or more. It’s the last semester, and textbooks are just not important anymore.

7. Procrastinating on everything

You put off doing your homework, reading, writing and studying. You’re just not in the mood for school.

8. Always sleep deprived

You find yourself sleep deprived and exhausted because of your procrastination. Pulling "all-nighters" starts to catch up with you.

9. Naps are your top priority

You choose napping over everything. Should I study or nap? Napping wins hands down.

10. Netflix binge

You begin “studying Netflix” rather than actual studying.

11. Daydreaming

You find yourself daydreaming in class. You imagine yourself walking across the stage at graduation and accepting your diploma.

12. Doodling

You start to doodle on your paper rather than taking notes.

13. Grades fall

Your grades start to fall just a bit. You’re not putting in the effort you used to put in because you’re mentally done with everything.

14. An empty planner

You might even stop writing in your planner because there’s just no point to it.

15. Laughing at younger classmen

Younger classmen run around panicking about tests and you just laugh. Those silly over achievers still care about school.

16. Bragging about graduation

You somehow manage to turn every conversation into being about your graduation. You can’t help it. You’re just excited.

17. You make your last tuition payment and “happy dance”

No more payments to the place that has held you captive for four years or more. It’s all finally over. You dance around your house like you just won the lottery.

18. You cry at the thought of paying off student loans

The fear of student loans overcomes you, and the happy dance is over. Now all you can think about is debt.

19. You see someone graduate on TV and become jealous

Yes, it is just a movie and the character is not actually graduating. You can’t help wishing it was you and then, you throw your remote at the screen... oops.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
