Going to a small private school can have its perks. You know most of the people, and can always find a familiar face in the midst of all the chaos. But lets be real, it has its downsides. Here are some of the signs that you go to a small private school.
1. You run into that one person everywhere you go.
It can be great if it’s a friend, but when it’s that one kid in your class that you never talk to, or that one hookup from the lodge, it can get kind of awkward.
2. There is absolutely nothing to do on campus on the weekends besides party.
Partying every single weekend can get tiring, but what else is there to do?
3. It is impossible to get off campus if you don’t have a car.
Especially when the service shuttle only goes to certain locations.
4. Your homecoming concerts rarely ever get big name artists.
Forget Kanye or A$AP Rocky. Who needs them anyway?
5. Registration is hell because professors want a small student-teacher ratio.
That’s okay, not like I needed to graduate on time anyway.
6. You complain about having to walk from one side of campus to the other.
It took an entire 10 minutes!
7. You have no problem leaving your belongings unattended for 10 minutes in the library or dining hall.
I mean, it’s not like anyone is going to take them.
8. If you didn’t show up to class your teacher would notice.
So much for keeping a low profile.
9. Participation points are an actual thing.
Do you think I can get by with talking at least once every class?
10. You get tired of the campus food pretty quickly.
Is it just me, or did the dining hall see like heaven freshman year?
11. You go to most of the events for the free t-shirts.
Did someone say free?
12. Students actually dress up to go to class.
Looks like sweat pants just aren’t going to cut it.
