Siblinghood As Told By 'Full House'

The good, the bad, and the ugly when growing up with siblings.

Growing up with siblings is arguably one of life's greatest blessings. Without my siblings, my life would lack a lot of laughter, love, hugs, jokes, harassment, and petty arguments! Who better to describe what growing up with siblings is like than DJ, Stephanie, or Michelle from "Full House?"

Can you relate to any of these situations that occur within sibling-hood?

You've been woken up from a peaceful, deep slumber at an ungodly hour because everyone in your family has different schedules—and no compassion nor consideration for the siblings who don't handle the morning hours too well.

You've tried to explain to your parents that your brother or sister is not perfect by any means.

You've felt totally fresh after being given the honor of wearing your older siblings' clothes. This opportunity is rare.

And if you've kindly shared your favorite sweater with a sibling, they probably ruined it.

You've basically gotten away with murder after collaborating with a fellow sibling to dispose of evidence and avoid getting in trouble. Mom will never know of your evil deeds.

And now we move to the categorical types of siblings. What characteristics match your siblings?

The sibling that you find under the dim light of the refrigerator at 3 a.m., always eating, but never gaining any weight.

The sibling that doesn't know what saving means. *Comes home with the third new pair of shoes this week*

The forever single sibling.

The never single sibling.

The sibling that challenges all of your goals and aspirations, to really get you thinking and make you a "better person."

The sibling that's always running late—to everything.

The sibling that is model material and absolutely photogenic, but doesn't believe that whatsoever.

The sibling that disregards all morals once they're away from parent supervision.

The sibling that is an angel...most of the time. Once they've had enough, they've had enough.

The sibling that thinks that their corny jokes are a true gift to any ear willing to listen. *Crickets*

The sibling that's a bad influence.

The youngest sibling that's so cute, they can do no wrong.

Whether you and your siblings are still young, or you've grown together into adulthood, embrace the joy of having siblings. They're automatic best friends, for life!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
