We all have heard of the quote "Nice guys finish last." Honestly, I have to disagree with that statement. Nice guys, you can take a breather on this one. And yes, you have heard me right. Nice guys do not finish last, but unfortunately, shy guys do. Yes, being shy is part of our nature because we're too scared to approach our crush, and that's totally understandable because we would not know what type of reaction to expect from the person we are crushing on. Us shy guys have few problems that you need to understand before you put the brakes on us:
1. Anxiety problems are real when it comes to approaching
The central problem here is that some guys are very anxious around girls. Sweat, inability to talk, and nervousness is real. Sure, girls may look at them funny, but whatever they want to say, it's probably something nice. It's just that it's really hard to get the words out.
2. Shy guys really can't figure women out for some reason.
Before you get a bit jumpy on my on this one, let me explain. Girls are like jigsaw puzzles. You need to figure stuff out correctly of what they like. It's really hard to figure out some because some are really hard to understand. Sure, intentions change, but shy guys realize everything is just too complicated when it comes to understanding feelings.
3. Shy guys are nervous about everything.
If you are a girl and a shy guy asks you out, don't shoot them down before they even say a word. Sometimes shy guys can be a bit nervous and they do need some time to express their true feelings. Give them a chance before you really think if they are worth it or not. You never know, 'cause sometimes a shy guy can surprise you.
4. Confidence is a major key.
Now imagine this with DJ Khaled giving you advice. Shy guys are down there; their confidence is low, anxiety is high, and control of feelings is just out of control. People need to give them a chance. Shy guys always expect the universe to give them the person they want in their life. Change them to make them realize that they need to change themselves to be a more socially-acceptable person, even if it takes one step at a time.
But do not fear, there is still light if you are a shy person. There is still time to change, and that time is now. Be more open. Be more socially active. Be a bit more accepting. If you can't understand one, ask another for help. When it comes to modern-day relationships, we all need help and there is no wrong in that.
