If you're like me, you finish a series in two weeks, tops. So here are some new shows to binge while you procrastinate those five papers, two exams, and whatever else you really don't want to do.
1. "Shameless"
Looking for something to make you laugh AND make you want to punch something? Welcome to the world of the Gallaghers. Shameless is a great show to watch when you need a break from life, and will hold your attention for all 7 seasons (plus another this November)!
2. "That '70s Show"
That 70’s is the kind of show you can use as background noise, a great homework distraction, and most importantly is hilarious at 2 am when you curl up after the bar. 10/10 would recommend.
3. "Freaks and Geeks"
James Franco, Jason Segel, and Seth Rogan as teenagers? Yes, please. Plus, it's on Time Magazine's 2007 "100 Greatest Shows of All Time" list. Does that make you want to binge-watch this eighteen-episode series? I bet it does.
4. "GLOW"
A Netflix original with some badass women who become wrestlers. This show is hilarious and makes you feel like you can accomplish anything. A great show to watch when you’re stuck in a funk! Plus Netflix has renewed GLOW and another season will be coming out!
5. "Girlboss"
"Girlboss" is another Netflix original that will make you feel more badass than you already are. Sophia takes the online shopping world by storm and teaches herself what it means to be confident and independent. This show will make you feel like you can do anything when you have the right mindset, and helps when you need a little confidence boost!
6. "Breaking Bad"
If you haven’t already watched "Breaking Bad," you at least know about it…right? I mean the show won sixteen Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Critics' Choice Awards, four Television Critics Association Awards, and so many others. So you’ll watch it now, right?
7. "Weeds"
Let me tell you something about "Weeds." I watched this show with my mother, and it was the greatest thing ever. "Weeds" follows the story of a mother who starts selling in order to provide for her family after her husband dies. This show is a whirlwind of crazy, between the drugs, crimes, family drama, and altogether craziness of this family. A great show to watch when you need a funny distraction and want to imagine your mom selling weed.
8. "Prison Break"
"Prison Break" will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. This show has so many twists and turns and so much drama that you will be hooked, guaranteed. My favorite part of this show was learning about the backstories of each character, and it kept me wanting more! A great show to watch after class when you need to unwind or need a distraction!
9. "Raising Hope"
The absolutely funniest show I have ever seen. "Raising Hope" follows the Chance family and baby Hope, who are just trying to survive in this crazy world. Hope is absolutely adorable, and her family is absolutely crazy. Highly recommended when you need a good laugh!
10. "Gilmore Girls"
A feel good show to watch when all you want to do is hug your mom. Gilmore Girls will make you laugh and cry all while making you wish you grew up in Stars Hollow!
11. "One Tree Hill"
And here you'll find a show that I watch every single summer without fail. Teenage drama, romance, and everything in between. I am personally obsessed with every little thing about this show; from the characters, to the story line, to the music, it is SO good.
12. "The Carrie Diaries"
Are you a fan of Sex and the City? Neither am I! But here's a feel good show with so many cute outfits and cute boys. Carrie lives out the dream for us, so we can stay in bed and watch with a bag of popcorn.
13. How to Get Away With Murder
Looking for something a little more mysterious and dark? Here you'll find a group of law students and their professor committing crimes and of course murders while adding in some flirtatious scenes and romance. Sounds weird. But so good.
14. "Glee"
Of course, I saved the best for last. Glee has been my favorite show since it aired in 2009; not only does this show have some pretty crazy drama, but it has music! What more could you ask for? Glee makes you feel so many emotions while teaching you that you should be yourself no matter what because you are awesome!
Ugh. Time to go binge.
