19 Thoughts We All Have In The Shower

Where did that blood come from?

Showers are for relaxation as they are a time when you are away from the busy campus, from the words printed on your textbook, from the surrounding drama in your dorm room. Showers are a time for yourself, but as you clean yourself, your mind wonders and can lead to some interesting questions.

1. "What is soap?"

Please, someone tell me.

2. "We pay for our suffering."

Two words: college tuition.

3. "Do people masturbate in the shower?"

There is nothing wrong with it! Just curious...

4. "I'm balding... this is it."

Apparently, girls can lose a maximum of 150 strands of hair per day.

5. "How long have I been in here for... have I become a prune yet?"

Time flies by when you're having fun.

6. "Was that a noise? A shadow? Hello?"

This is how I die.

7. "What if an alien is watching me right now?"

Just, what if?

8. "I'm hungry."

If you're like me, you're always hungry.

9. "Do ants sing songs when they carry objects for their ant homes?

I really hope they do.

10. "Who am I?"

No one knows who they are at all times! Remind yourself of your passions, your goals, your friends, your family. Think of what makes your truly happy.

11. "Bloooooddd!"

The very first time I cut myself while shaving, I thought I would never stop bleeding. I swear, sometimes you NEVER stop bleeding... it just keeps on coming!

12. "Am I killing bacteria?"

How much of the bad bacteria are killed from showers, if any?

13. "AHHHH.... hot, hot, hot... cold, cold, cold!"

I HATE when this happens.

14. "How many germs are on this razor?"

Just think about how many germs are on your razor at this moment.

15. "Switch this song right now!"

"Oh, rubber ducky, you're the one. You make bath time so much fun." - Joe Raposo, Sesame Street

16. "Deodorant remnants will be the death of me."

Am I the only one who struggles with getting rid of the day's deodorant from my armpits? I have to scrub as if my life depends on it! I need a scrub as large as the one displayed in this GIF!

17. "I should not have said that."

My thoughts anytime I ponder a past conversation I had...

18. "Does he love me?"

Love is stressful. Even a shower doesn't help.

19. "I have so much to do."

Remember to appreciate your shower-time wisely! Forget about all of life's stressors, at least for the time being.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
