For starters, dad bods are not an excuse for guys to be fat. A dad bod is when a guy is a nice mix of trying to be somewhat in shape, but also shows he eats what he wants when he wants and goes out for beers with the guys. It shows that he is relatively small, but would not be categorized as lean or even toned. There is something about the dad bod that draws girls in; no do not get all gross and start in about “daddy issues.” It is just the sole fact that dad bods are so in.
There is something so appealing about a guy who has a dad bod. He is able to draw a girl in and keep her around. First of all, guys with dad bods are much more approachable. When girls are out for a fun night with the girls and there are two guys she spots from across the bar she is more likely to go for the dad bod rather than the self-employed sneakerhead model. This is because dad bods are more approachable. It is comforting to know right from the start you will not be judged based on your looks.
Guys with dad bods not only show an approachable side, but they also show a glimpse of the future. If a guy has a dad bod from the time you meet him, you will already know what he will look like when he gets older. There is no need to guess if his six-pack will fade away into a beer belly because chances are he already has a beer belly that is not going away anytime soon. Also thinking about the future, it can make a girl think about forever. Along with his body never surprisingly changing on you, you can imagine him not only having a dad bod but being a dad. There is something about a guy with a beer belly that shows that he has something fatherly about him already. You can imagine him at your family barbecue chasing your kids around with a beer in his hand and a smile on your face from afar. This causes girls to think about forever from the first time you lock eyes; a blessing and curse all at once.
Of course, girls love to be the pretty ones in the relationship. No girl wants to be outshined by her man and a guy who has a dad bod will always be allowing his girl to have the spotlight on her. Now, this is not to say that girls do not want to be “the cutest couple” that everyone loves-- so guys do not take advantage of the dad bod and lose yourself. Dad bods are not an excuse to let go of your hygiene-- the most attractive guys are the ones with a pretty face and a dad bod.
Most importantly, who truly wants rock hard abs to cuddle them? Cold nights it is the guys with a little most stuffing that you want by your side cuddling you to keep you warm.
It is undeniable that girls love the dad bod. Dad bods are underrated and it is time guys with dad bods get the credit they deserve-- your time to shine has only just begun.
