Some people may look at us and wonder how we became best of friends. I mean, they say that “opposites attract”. But I think that saying isn’t just meant for relationships; I like to believe it’s meant for friendships as well.

When we first met, we had the same group of friends but we barely spoke to one another. Eventually the group grew apart, and I’m happy to say that we grew closer. At first, I felt like you couldn’t stand me; I remember constantly annoying you. Chasing you through the house with a ferret - I still laugh at that to this day.

As years pass by, we have grown insanely close and I’m glad that it’s happened. I have so many reasons why I'm glad to have you in my life, but I wish I told you more often how much I truly appreciate you. These are some of the reasons why I value your friendship:

1. You're my biggest supporter.

You have been the one person who has been proud of what I’ve achieved so far. You have been my biggest supporter not just though the bad things, but you have always been there to celebrate my biggest achievements, and I always look forward to telling you big news.

2. We can go days without talking and pick up where we left off.

They say best friends talk everyday, but not us - we don’t have to. But when we hang out, we always have the best of times and pick up right where we left off and I’m thankful for that!

3. When I fall down dark paths, you're one person that sticks by my side.

You always know when something is wrong, you can just look at me and detect that something is truly bothering me and you won’t leave me alone until I tell you what’s going on.

4. No matter how annoying I am, you put up with me.

I truly annoy myself, and I don’t know how how you put up with me. But you do and I’m so grateful for that!

5. You work hard for what you want and you never give up.

The way that you follow your heart and want to achieve your dreams is so inspiring. You’ve been through hell and back, but you’ve never given up and you have never stopped until you got what you wanted.

I love you to death!! Thank you for all you do!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
