Welcome to my listicle! I hope everyone has a sense of humor when continuing to read my words. I have always loved school and learning new things but like every other student, I hit a spot where I thought, “maybe I can just give up and still do okay”. Now of course that’s a joke and everyone moves past that to become a stronger version of themselves. Just in case anyone still has doubts, here is a short list of some jobs that almost anyone can get involved in. Hope you enjoy and learn something in the process.
Chef
A chef is simply someone who prepares food for others to eat. So in all reality, once a person make their first meal by themselves, they are considered a chef. There are different levels a person can be on when they call themselves a chef. Someone can be a chef who went to culinary school and works in a fancy restaurant or someone who just simply cooks for people at a small town diner. This job can be fun if the person enjoys cooking for large amounts of people. A chef with culinary school training earns on average $39,724 a year and a small town chef makes on average $40,630. It isn’t the best, but at least the person is making money right?
Stripper
Everyone jokes about becoming a stripper to pay their college debt off. The real question is if someone actually became a stripper, would they be able to go back to a socially accepted job after it was all over? On average a stripper, also known as an exotic dancer, in the United States makes $46,259. When I think about how much I love dancing, it makes this job sound amazing. Also, someone wishing to make a living by stripping would not need any type of education at all! So there’s a plus for people looking at this type of career.
Rockstar
A rockstar is pretty straight forward. When I think of rockstars, many artists like David Bowie, Ozzie Osborne and Mick Jagger come to my attention. These men had their passions for music and a few other things in common. Some rockstars have college degrees and others do not, so that means if someone wants to be a rockstar but doesn’t have a music degree, it’s going to be okay. It is hard to tell on average how much a rockstar makes because there are so many different parts that make up their yearly salary. If someone feels this is the path they need to go on, then they will definitely be in for an adventure.
Walmart Employee
When a person is looking for a place to fit in, Walmart will have that type of atmosphere that person is looking for. There are so many different types of people found in Walmart. Even if someone doesn’t have a high school diploma they can always get a job at Walmart and it pays on average $15,576. I mean at least they are making money and money is always good. This may not be the most glamorous job but you will never be out of work because Walmart has 4,177 stores in the United States and they are always looking for workers.
Uber Driver
Probably one of the newest careers on the scene is Uber. Uber is a taxi service but the drivers use their own vehicles for the transporting of passengers. It is an easy app to use. An employee of Uber has the luxury of making their own schedule and hours. An Uber driver can make on average $40,000 a year and that is at about $19 an hour. In New York, the drivers can make $30 an hour! That is something to think about when looking for a job! Uber doesn’t require anyone to have a college degree which is nice if the person is really looking for a good paying job with a very flexible schedule.
Mooch
Obviously this isn’t something that anyone would think of when they thought of a typical job, but believe me, mooching is one skill you may need to survive later in life. Anyone wanting to find a good job without any set of skills should look at this option more. Mooching is not always a bad skill to have. If someone finds that school isn’t there thing then go ahead and enjoy any of the above jobs I listed or this last option!
