Short hair struggles? Psh, please. I don't have those... Just kidding. If your short hair is an unruly mess, this one's for you! Thankfully, I don't have super short hair right now, but boy, do I know the struggle of a frizzy bob. A girl who manages to keep her short hair sleek is a force to be reckoned with. Here are just 14 of the biggest pain-in-the-butt struggles that we short haired girls have to endure!

1. When your hair reaches your shoulders, and you think, "I'VE GOT TO GET IT CUT."

That tickly itch? The possibility of your purse or backpack strap laying over your hair and nearly ripping your hair out? No thank you.

2. Looking at girls with long hair and thinking "I wish I had long hair again."

Sigh....

3. Also thinking "I wish my hair was shorter. I wouldn't have to style it as much."

As if. Don't believe that thought. It's a lie.

4. Wanting to skip washing your hair for the day but realizing that it's too short to put in a messy bun.

And then having to use endless amounts of bobby pins to secure all the falling pieces.

5. Constantly changing the color and highlights.

The shorter the hair, the less hair you have to dye!

6. People say, "You look so much older with short hair!"

Uhm... Thanks?

7. Not being able to braid it without it falling out everywhere.

Once again, endless amounts of bobby pins EVERYWHERE.

8. Pulling your hair back in a twist, and all the pieces around your face fall out.

I can just lie and say I threw it up in a twist, right?

9. No more sleek hairstyles.

That sleek ponytail? Yeah right. As soon as you leave the house, it'll have a slight curl to the ends of the pieces.

10. You end up wasting (on average) 4 hours a day looking on Pinterest for ways to style your hair differently.

Sure, that's the average amount of time... But we all know it's really more like 6 hours.

11. When the wind says "yes," your hair says "NO."

"I was going for a windswept look."

12. If you don't blow dry it immediately, it will dry on its own and develop an attitude.

The beast is never tamable unless it's wet.

13. Always being asked if you cut your hair recently, even though it's been 6 weeks since the last time you cut it.

Nope, but thanks for reminding me that I need to schedule an appointment to make it even shorter.

14. You're never able to roll out of bed and just go. If you did, people would ask, "Are you okay?"

I'm fine. I just didn't leave enough time to fix my hair... Or my life.

The struggle is real, ladies. How do we put up with it? By using lots of product and a straightener. Some people say that hair is like a security blanket, and that's why they can't cut it. But with short hair, we're ready to take on the world! Let's face it, even though we say we'll grow out our hair, it'll never happen. There are just too many perks to having short hair!

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Yes, it IS a sport. Yes, I fall all the time. No, I do not ride in jeans with a cowgirl hat on.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
