Southern fashion is recognizable all over the country. It is easy to spot someone from the south, just by the way they dress. One of the most important parts of a southern girl's wardrobe is her shoes. Shoes can make or break an outfit. If you are having trouble coming up with shoes for an outfit, southern girls have got you covered. Here is a list of some shoes that are must-haves in every southern girl's closet.

1. Cowboy/Cowgirl Boots

If you have ever made a trip to the south, you could probably guess these shoes would be on the list. Cowboy boots are an essential. In the south, they aren't just for working on the farm. A lot of people wear these everyday, even to special occasions. Weddings are not excluded from this list. Even brides have been known to thrown on a pair of these boots to walk down the aisle.

2. Riding Boots

If you live in the south and you want a cute pair of boots to go over your jeans, these are the ones. Riding boots aren't just for riding horses anymore. These boots are here to dress up an outfit. Sometimes you can even put on a pair of knee high socks that peep out of the top for a bit of extra flare. During the fall and winter in the south, you are guaranteed to find tons of girls wearing these.

3. L.L. Bean Boots

Although this list is all about women's shoes, these can be worn by men, too. L.L Bean boots are quite popular here in the south. I know what you are thinking, "Why do you need with a water proof boot when it rarely ever snows?" Well, as you can see, southern women have a trend of wearing shoes for things other than what they were designed for, but we do get more snow than you think and it does get quite cold in the winter months. These boots are perfect for keeping your feet warm while also looking stylish.

4. Rain Boots

Rain boots, mainly Hunter "Wellies" are also a staple in the winter time. If there is even a slight chance of rain, almost every girl in the south will have these on. They match a lot of outfits and they are easy to put on, just like the riding boots.

5. Clark's

Have you ever wanted to look dressed up, but also wanted to be extremely comfortable? These shoes are the ticket. At any awards ceremony, you will probably see tons of these. Wallabee's are very popular in the south for their comfort and for their style. You can wear these with jeans or khakis to tie an entire outfit together.

6. Sperry's

Also known as "Boat Shoes," these shoes also help to dress up an outfit, but can also be worn casually. Coming in different styles and colors, these shoes are very popular in the south. I have several pairs due to wearing them so often. These shoes are easy to slip on and run out the door.

7. Converse

These shoes are popular everywhere. I included them in this list because they are just as popular in the south as they are everywhere else. These shoes are all about comfort. Coming in a wide variety of colors, there is a shoe for everyone. They can be worn with pretty much everything.

8. Wedges

As you can probably tell from all the shoes on this list, the south is about comfort. We want a shoe we can throw on to make our outfit look put together. Wedges are probably the most comfortable way to jazz up an outfit. I even wore a pair to my graduation. These shoes are absolutely cute and classy.

9. Flip Flops / Sandals

Most of you probably know sandals are a great way to stay cool in the summer. In the south, we are all about sandals. As you can see these sandals are absolutely adorable and go great with almost any outfit.

10. Chaco's

Last, but certainly not least, is the Chaco. These sandals are meant for hiking, but are worn for almost everything. These shoes are incredibly comfortable and in our opinion, pretty cute. They also last for a really long time. These shoes have to be my favorite on the list.

If you don't own at least one of these shoes on this list, I would encourage you to try them! They are wonderful. As you could probably tell, the south is all about style and comfort. The shoes in this list are also versatile. You can wear them for many different occasions. The next time you are looking for a new pair of shoes, try out some of these. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
