Sometimes I miss you
And sometimes I don’t.
Sometimes I wish you loved me,
But I know you won’t.
I don’t need money,
I don’t even need you.
It’s not even you that I long for,
It’s someone who’s true.
A person in life who will be by my side,
A genuine guy whose heart will abide.
Abide in me and I’ll abide in you,
For I long for one to remain forever true.
These are the things you lack, it’s for certain,
For when I see you, I do not know what you hide behind the certain.
I tried my hardest to look the other way,
But no matter what you do, it’s my heart you always slay.
For years I wondered if it would change,
But after all, I was just stuck in some stupid range.
This range was not high nor low, it was somewhere in between.
Once I found out, I hoped it was just a dream.
Now I know that you were not it,
But do not worry, your place will be taken by someone who is fit.
Together we will be faithful, for that is all we will seek.
No trail too big will make us weak.
This poem is simple and easy to read,
But the message is potent, and will continue to proceed.
So be faithful, and be kind,
For whatever you hold behind your certain, will not be blind.
Love strong, and stay humble.
And in life’s game you will not fumble.
