Shameless: A Show Worthy Of Binging
COMINGSOON

As the fall season begins so do many new seasons of your favorite TV shows begin as well. I for one am most excited about two shows specifically returning: "The Walking Dead" and "Shameless". Now, I am pretty sure most people are familiar with what "The Walking Dead" is but "Shameless" is a show that has been completely off the radar for many years until now. Recently Netflix added all 6 previous seasons of "Shameless", a show on Showtime about a poor family and how they get by in life. Recently season 7 of "Shameless" premiered and I'm here to give you a few reasons on why you should binge the first six seasons so you can jump right into season 7.

1. Shameless has a diverse cast of characters to fall in love with.

One of my favorite things about "Shameless" is definitely the cast and the characters they portray. Each character is unique in their own way and single-handedly hold different story lines with each of them. Personally, my favorite characters stem from the oldest brother Lip Gallagher, to the father Frank and of course who doesn't love the oldest child Fiona. They are a fantastic, diverse group of characters and I guarantee you will love them for everything they are.

2. It's a different kind of show.

When I state that its a different type of show I mean it as it is unlike anything else I've seen on TV. Yes there are many television shows that revolve around dysfunctional families but never have I seen a show about a terrible dysfunctional family who literally survive in the world by doing whatever they can. They also make very terrible decisions and like the shows title they are really Shameless. It's definitely unlike any other family type show currently on television.

3. The story line sucks you in.

From episode one of "Shameless" I could not stop watching. I watched all 60 current episodes in a time span of about 5 days and I never actually stopped unless I had to eat, sleep, or go to work. I was hooked ever since I watched that first episode. "Shameless" had a way of keeping me around even with those episodes that seemed weak to other episodes in the series. The best part is that even when these story lines end, something great happens in the next story line for said character. Each character has their own respective story lines and I honestly don't know if there is exactly one highlighting moment because they are all great.

4. The show tackles very serious topics not covered by any other shows.

This has to be my favorite reason into why "Shameless" is worth watching. The show tackles aspects of abusive relationships, homosexuality, alcoholism, disorders, to so many other things. This is such a fantastic thing because its not everyday you can watch a show that tackles serious things like this and actually treats it as something serious.

These are just a few reasons on why "Shameless" is a show worth watching. I can write pages on pages about "Shameless" as a whole, talking about every character and exactly everything I love. But take my word for it, I love this show and it definitely worth watching it all for this new season.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
