7 Reasons Why You Should Be Watching The Walking Dead

7 Reasons Why You Should Be Watching The Walking Dead

I have been infected by TV's latest epidemic: "The Walking Dead".

I am ready and on my couch by 9 p.m. so that I can watch the hottest show on television and tweet along with thousands of other fans. As a girl who doesn't really like 'scary' or 'gory' things, TWD has had me hooked since season one, and I don't plan on quitting any time soon. If you haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet, here are seven reasons why you should invest your time in TWD:

1. The cast is killer.


Seriously, this is one of the best casts on television. Even the younger actors are phenomenal, and that isn't always the case. Plus, watching them give interviews makes me love them more.

2. Zombies are awesome.

I don't know when this obsession with zombies started, but if loving this trend is wrong, I don't want to be right.

3. The makeup is intense.

To go along with #2, the way that these zombies on this show look will blow your mind. Seriously, how TWD hasn't won all of the awards for makeup, I don't know. Can I be a zombie extra?!

4. The writing is superb.

This show is so well written and the characters are so well developed that there are few episodes where I'm left feeling indifferent. I'm pretty much always on the edge of my seat.

5. It has some insane ratings.

This show is constantly among one of the most watched and most talked about. In fact, it was the number one show on cable during the week of Feb 8-14, according to TV By The Numbers. (This mid-season premiere was amazing, by the way, and you need to go watch it.)

6. Strong female characters are present.

Michonne is a BAD ASS and you will fall in love with her.

7. Daryl Dixon.


You don't need any more reasons after this.
