1. Knowing that you get to reunite with your roommates. Nothing makes you realize how much you appreciate the everyday presence of your friends like a month away from them.
2. Realizing that you get to have your freedom again. Being away from home means leaving your family, which don't get me wrong is sad some times, but also means that you can do whatever you want without being judged or scolded, whether that be coming home at two in the morning or binge watching your favorite Netflix show for the entire day/night.
3. The excitement of being able to see your crush on campus again. Everyone has that person (or people) that they eye on campus while you pass them on your way to class.
4. That feeling of "oh no" after looking at your syllabus. Syllabi are just a slap in the face to remind you just how much work you get to look forward to for the next couple of months.
5. The depression that occurs when checking your bank account after buying all your books for school. You may have to take out a second loan for how much your books that are required will cost you. If you've already realized this, hopefully you've learned to buy/rent those books from online which will cost you hundreds of dollar less than at the book store on campus.
6. The happiness of using the last bit of money you have on late night food. For some reason after midnight, food just seems to taste better and the guilt of eating the unhealthy food is non-existent.
7. Realizing you're going to be stressed beyond belief and having a low bank account balance for the next couple of months but not caring because you're back with your friends and nothing's better than being back at college. College is your second home and though there are some negatives that come with it, the experience you get to receive makes those small negatives totally worth it.
