When senior year of college rolls around, there are a range of emotions and feelings. You've probably worked really hard, but you've probably also had a lot of fun, too. It all really comes down to everything you've worked for up to this point. It's your final lap, and it's time to buckle down and get serious about your plans after graduation. Here are some things you might be thinking during this time in your life as told by, none other than, Todd Chrisley.
1. I've finally made it to senior year!
These last three years have undoubtably been stressful, but you've made it this far, so why give up now? It's time to sit back and relax and enjoy your accomplishments before your professors hand out all those final syllabi. Go out with your friends and celebrate making it this far before the work load hits in full force.
2. Why did I not take these classes earlier?
There's probably that one dreaded required class that you've been putting off taking for the last several years. For me, there were two general education courses that I managed to avoid until my senior year. Do I regret this decision? Yes. However, I somehow made it through my U.S. Economic History class with an A without having much prior knowledge of either history or economics. On the down side, I start ballroom dance next week.
3. Where is all my time going?
Due to all the projects, tests, papers, internships and other responsibilities you have, you can't seem to find enough time in the day to accomplish all these things and still find time for yourself. Some weeks are worse than others, and it may seem like all your professors are getting together and planning all your due dates for the same day or week. Just keep on keeping on.
4. Do I really have to start "adulting" soon?
5. When do I start applying for jobs?
6. How you feel when someone asks what your post-grad plans are:
Maybe you have it all figured out already, but, then again, maybe you don't. I understand that nobody means any harm when they ask this question, and they are usually genuinely curious. However, sometimes questions like these only add stress to a college senior. Therefore, I usually don't mind if you ask me. Just know that I may not know how to answer, yet.
7. Does college have a senior skip day?
Do I get a senior skip day? No. Do I feel like I need one? Yes. Last week would've actually been the perfect time for one, but I, instead, found myself in class every day. I decided that skipping wasn't worth getting behind. After all, I've made it this far, so why screw it up now?
8. When finals start to roll around:
This is quite possibly the most stressful time of the semester. On the bright side, this is the last time you'll ever have to take a final. That is, unless you decide to go to graduate school. Then, my friend, I feel sorry for you.9. When it's graduation day:
You've finally made it to graduation day, so give yourself a high-five or a pat on the back. All the stress of college is now behind you, and you have a bright future to look forward to.10. The post-graduation job search:
The job search is officially on and in full force. Don't worry, you survived college, so you'll survive this. Just breathe and have faith in yourself.
