Senior Letters: Part 3
LaDonna Scott

Dear Maggie,

I first met you during 'Grease'. I honestly have no idea if you remember this, but we were waiting to audition, and I said I wanted Dunkin' Donuts so you offered to go with me. Being the scared baby freshman I was, I denied you request because I was afraid I wouldn't get back on time. Through the last three years, I have come to appreciate your talent and passion for human rights. I love the fact that we have connected so much this year, enough for you to go through your dorm plans with me. Thank you for the memories darling!

Dear Emma,

Firstly, you never cease to amaze me with the fact that you can play the piano backwards. You are an actual adventure fairy that can manage to climb trees in heels. I would like to thank you for being my friend during Grease and teaching me music that I missed, because I was definitely a soprano before my voice dropped. Thank you for being an elf with me my sophomore year and continuing to make me feel welcome in this program. I appreciate you with all my heart because your friendship is something I will never forget.

Dear Shelby,

I greatly appreciate the fact that Katelyn and you are able to talk to me about 'Teen Wolf'. I envy your outfits greatly because I am amazed as to how seamlessly put together they are. You also happen to be one of the kindest people that I know. I hope that your beautiful soul never changed because it is, by far, one of your best qualities that never fail to make me smile.

Dear Drew,

I met you my freshman year during 'Grease', just like everyone else in this post. I distinctly remember finding it incredibly interesting that you remembered so many digits of pi. You are so smart and incredibly caring. I have no idea what I would do if I couldn't hug you or rant to you about my day and everything that is happening in my life. Thank you for listening to me and tolerating my craziness. Thank you for being there whenever I need you and talking about politics with me at the most random times. I appreciate you accepting me for who I am, regardless how strange or random I can be. Thank you for being you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
