End Of The Semester Struggles As Told By HIMYM

The last three weeks of the semester are Satan's gift to students. Suddenly, you have a bunch of papers, group projects, tests and presentations due all at the same time. Not to mention picking housing and registration on top of it all. It often seems overwhelming and quickly takes its toll on students everywhere. Here are the top semester struggles as told by How I Met Your Mother.

When your alarm goes off at 8 a.m. on Monday morning and you wonder if that last unexcused absence is really worth getting up so early for.

After that dreaded early morning class, you take a nap only to oversleep for your next at 12:40 which means you have to rush and look ridiculous for class.

The dining hall food has run its course for the year, but when wrap day comes around? Jackpot!

You have a group project due this week and as you're about to walk out the door for your meeting with said group, somebody cancels last minute.

That means you're left with the decision of: project or the latest episode of Netflix? But then the wifi is out..again.

You work for a couple of hours and decide to reward yourself with a drink or two at Twofers that night, despite the fact that you have an 8:30 the next morning.

So you overestimated how much you would drink..again..and you contemplate not going to your 8:30. But then you remember you have a quiz that morning and it's off to class you go.

It's also the day of your dreaded group project presentation. A group member is late and you lose points for some reason.

You finish your paper for the week and start cramming for an exam the next day. You skip mixer night for a cozy night with your flashcards, instead.

You freak out about the day's exam all night and come back feeling very unsure of if you even passed. That can only be solved with one solution: going out.

You're also broke at this point in the semester, so you're back to drinking cheap alcohol that tastes mostly like Purrell and bad decisions.

Inevitably, you drink too much. Again. The night's events are a little fuzzy but your friends fill in the blanks.

Your hangover lasts all day despite the amount of Advil you took. You spend all day laying in bed watching Netflix and avoiding all responsibilities.

Surprise! You forgot about an online discussion post that's due at 11:59 Saturday night. It's 11:50.

Registration time means an awkward meeting with your adviser who either dismisses you in two minutes or keeps you for 20 droning on about their lives.

Watching your classes fill up is one thing, but watching a class you need with one seat left will induce panic attacks you didn't know you could get.

Schedule: Done. Housing? Start your next panic attack.

Your mom calls and asks why you don't post any pictures on Facebook for the family to see.

You don't have the heart to tell her all your pictures look like this.

She also questions you about how your GPA is going to be considering how often you go out. You tell her of the 96 you got on the test you failed last week.

Despite all of the endless struggles, you realize summer is just weeks away.

And that, kids, is how I survived this semester.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
