San Diego, a beautiful city with great weather year-round, offers an endless amount of places to explore. Here is a list of a few of the best spots in San Diego!

1. Balboa Park

Balboa Park is located in the heart of San Diego and provides over 1,000 acres of hiking trails, musicals to watch at the Old Globe Theatre, and multiple museums to immerse yourself in the beauty of art, culture and history.

2. San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is a family-friendly place in which people of all ages can see thousands of endangered animals and plants. The San Diego Zoo provides visitors multiple tours of the zoo and an exclusive visit to the panda viewing area before the zoo officially opens to the public.

3. Hillcrest

Hillcrest is a lively, urban center located northwest of Balboa Park that is well known for its restaurants and as the host for the annual San Diego Pride Festival. The Hillcrest Farmer’s Market, which occurs every Sunday and consists of over 175 vendors, is popularly known as the best farmer’s market in San Diego!

4. Gaslamp Quarter

The Gaslamp Quarter is a great spot for people of all ages, businesses, nightlife, clubs and foodie lovers because it consists of over 200 restaurants, multiple hotels, Horton Plaza Shopping Mall, and the famous Petco Park. The Gaslamp Quarter, located in the middle of Downtown San Diego, is also less than one mile away from Seaport Village, Embarcadero Park, and the Convention Center, the popular location of Comic-Con during the Summer.

5. Julian

Julian, a historical gold mining town, is a cozy little town that offers multiple hiking trails, museums, carriage rides, gold tour mines, horseback riding, and boating and fishing. In the Fall, it is the best time to go apple-picking as well as enjoy a delectable slice of apple pie.

6. Palomar Observatory

The Palomar Observatory, located at the top of Palomar Mountain, is the hub for astronomical research and is the perfect place to go to if you love astronomy or simply want to gaze up at the night sky and get a closer glimpse of the beautiful stars.

7. La Jolla Cove

Grab a family member, friend, or significant other and head to La Jolla Cove to kayak, snorkel, or dive in the beautiful ocean alongside leopard sharks and various kinds of fish.

8. Old Town

Old Town is another historic landmark that preserves the history and culture of San Diego. In fact, Old Town’s annual celebration of Dia de Los Muertos and Cinco de Mayo highlights the diverse culture within San Diego. Local San-Diegans and visitors are able to take a tour of Old Town, enjoy live entertainment from the theatre, pan for gold, make bricks, and dine at over 25 restaurants. At Old Town, you can take a tour of the Whalley House, the number one haunted house in the United States.
