It’s the Mystery Incorporated’s last year for trick-or-treating, and they decide to invite a friend with them, Pennywise the clown. Years ago, the gang unveiled Pennywise’s secret, and they put their trust in him. How bad could a clown be anyway? On this Halloween night, they expect fun and games with their new friend. Will their expectations be met?
“Do we really have to go with the k-k-killer clown?” Shaggy asked, dressed as a zombie.
“He’s not like that anymore, Shaggy. He learned his lesson,” Fred said.
“W-w-what if he was lying?” Shaggy said.
“Helloooo, Shaggy! Hehehe,” Pennywise said as he popped up behind him.
“Zoinks!” Shaggy hid behind Daphne.
“Oh, stop it, you baby,” Velma said.
“Nothing to be scared of Shaggy,” Pennywise said, grinning with his sharp teeth glistening in the moonlight.
“Raggy, rook!” Scooby jumped into Shaggy's arms, pointing at Pennywise. A piece of Scooby’s mummy costume ripped off.
Shaggy gulped. “C’mon Scoob, let’s get some candy...” They walked ahead of the gang.
Shaggy rang the doorbell at the first house. An older woman and a young child dressed as a princess answered.
“Trick-or-treat!” The gang said.
“Hehehe, mmm, a little princess treat,” Pennywise said, looking at the girl.
She backed away in fear.
“It’s okay dear. It’s only a silly clown,” the woman said.
“Yeah, don’t worry. He’s a friendly clown!” Daphne said. She pointed her witch’s broom at Pennywise’s red hair. “Look at his silly hair!”
The girl laughed and pointed at him. Shaggy and Scooby joined in, no longer afraid.
“Why, you little…” Pennywise lunged for the girl, baring his teeth.
The little girl screamed and threw candy at him.
“No!” Fred held him back.
“L-l-like, see Fred, what did I tell you?” Shaggy said.
“C’mon, gang, let’s keep going.” Fred said.
“Ooh, sorry guys. Hehehe. My anger got the best of me,” Pennywise said, beaming.
“It happens,” Velma said. “Anger is sometimes the hardest emotion to control.”
The gang walked to the next house and spotted two teenagers dressed like Pennywise.
They started doing his clown dance around the Scooby gang.
“Hehehe, Pennywise has fans!” Pennywise exclaimed.
“Wow, look at his teeth! They look so life-like. How did you do that?” One of the teenagers asked him.
“They’re real! I am the Pennywise the dancing clown!”
“Yeah, right! He’s not real!” The boys tugged on his hair.
Pennywise looked hurt and angered, again. “How dare you mock Pennywise! Hehehe, come with me, and you’ll float too!”
“Jeepers, Fred. We should get out of here!” Daphne said.
“Reah, let’s ro!” Scooby said. He took off toward the Mystery Machine with Shaggy.
“Alright, gang. Maybe that’s enough trick-or-treating for the night,” Fred said, nervous now.
The two boys dressed as clowns scattered off into the night before Pennywise had the chance to strike.
“We’re gonna call it a night, Penny,” Velma said.
“Hehehe, are you too scared to float with Pennywise?” He danced down the street, laughing, and made his way down the sewer. His red balloon the only thing he left behind.
The gang piled in the van, and looking back at Shaggy and Scooby, Fred said, “Sorry you two didn’t get all the candy you wanted.”
Shaggy put an arm around Scooby. “We’re alright, aren’t we Scoob? Losing some candy isn’t as bad as walking around with that k-k-killer c-clown!”
