Finally, finals and school are over for the year! I am officially done with my freshman year at DUC. My finals were okay, since I am an English major I didn't have any real tests to take. Mainly all I had to do were essays and interpreting poetry.
All the final papers have been turned in and everything is done! I am so happy that I am done with finals. I no longer have to stress about everything, it feels like a huge weight has come off of my shoulders. I am finally able to relax and the only thing I have to stress about is where I want to work at home and how I am going to do the projects that I have lined up for me this summer.
Moving home was a bigger ordeal than I thought it would be. My mom and I only have one car so she made two trips to DUC. The first trip was the weekend before I moved home, Mom took almost everything because our car isn't that big. Then on move out day, Mom came back and we finished moving me out. My roommate had already left, so once I had everything packed and I was starting to clean the room, it seemed so empty. At DUC, we have to leave the room completely clean. I think that my room is cleaner that when I first moved in. Actually, I am pretty sure that the room is cleaner than when I moved in. Even my RA said that the room was really clean.
I am so happy that I am home and that I don't have to worry about homework and school for three months. But sadly I have a huge project that I must now tackle. I am in the process of cleaning out and organizing my room. I think that my room has been messy since I was five years old. Sometimes my room is clean and organized. Now I have to clean my room, get rid of a bunch of stuff, and then I get to merge my dorm room and my bedroom together. I am not looking forward to that. I really don't like cleaning and organizing. I get bored with it very easily. But other times I actually enjoy cleaning. I really enjoy cleaning out stuff and looking back on old things and old memories.
Summer is here and I can't wait till my other friends are done with finals so we can all hang out! I am already making plans to visit San Francisco to see my roommate, then maybe some of my friends will come to my house and see me. This summer is going to be so much fun! I can't believe that my first year of college is over and now I can relax and recuperate and then prepare for next year and start thinking about how I am going to move myself back into the dorms with only one car, maybe two. This summer is going to be wonderful and I can't wait until it starts!
