Everyone give yourself a pat on the back because you only have two more months to go in this fall 2018 school semester! Congratulations freshman, you have survived this far. Congrats sophomores, you're getting the hang of this thing called college. Congrats juniors, you are half way through! Seniors, well you might be feeling a lot of different emotions so I'm sorry. However, for the rest of us if you have not started stressing then lucky you! For the others that have started or been stressing well, I have some things to say to you.

I'm proud of you! Some of you have moved hours and many states away from home to further your education and to set out a path for yourself. That deserves some recognition. For others, who are attending their dream school congrats! You did it! You get to walk on that campus and take classes from your dream school! To the students who have been accepted into their major's program, you did it! I always feel that even when one is stressed out there are many other things to be thankful for.

Also, just realize that you are halfway through the school year. Halfway through homework that was due, tests that had to be taken, and halfway till getting to go back home for Christmas break. You got to keep chugging along or for other people keep swimming, so you don't drown.

Hopefully, by now, you have made at least one friend. Odds are that person will grow to be your best friend whom you love dearly. As a junior, I have some experience in this. The first day of my drafting class, for my major in Architecture, I was 15 minutes early so I could get the first pick of the studio spaces that I would be using for the rest of the semester. Once seated and waiting on the teacher to arrive, in walks this girl. She came in ponytail swinging, Starbucks in hand, and with some sass in her step and I knew instantly I wanted to be her friends. A year later with many classes scheduled together, I can say wholeheartedly that she is a forever friend. One that I will live with next year and keep growing in our friendship and memories that we will make. Love ya lots, Olivia Derucki! So keep a look out people and even if you don't that friend will weave their way into your life. Be thankful for that!

Eat a lot of junk food unless you are a healthy person then eat some carrots. Go on that spontaneous midnight drive. Go walking through campus with your friends on a beautiful fall day. Make the most of the little moments, you will be happy that you did!

Even though you might be a little stress let's stay the course. So deep breath in. Exhale. Now go knock out the rest of your day!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
