12 Ways To Say "Thank You"

Everyone has someone to be thankful for, but most days we forget to simply show those we appreciate just how much they're loved. Blame it on hectic schedules or life's poor timing; whatever the reason, take today to tell someone you care about why you appreciate them. Everyone is different, but here are some fool-proof ideas if you're stumped on how to say thank you without using your words.

1. Care through coffee

As college students, we all know what sleep deprivation looks and feels like. Rescue a classmate after an all-nighter with a cup of coffee. Because nothing says "I'm thankful for you" like a hug in a mug.

2. Craft it out

If you're ballin' on a budget, a hand-crafted gift may be the best option. Not only is it affordable, but the time and effort you put into creating a gift for someone speaks volumes over anything you could pick off a store shelf.

3. Date night

It doesn't have to be a significant someone to be a date. Treat your best friend, or even your mom, to a night on the town. Make sure to pick up the check as your way of thanking them for every time they've cared for you. Dinner and a movie will never have felt so good.

4. Snail mail

There's something about receiving a letter in the mail that makes everyone go warm and fuzzy inside. Find a stamp, and send someone special a letter outlining all of the things you love about them.

5. Give hugs

For some people, a simple touch is the perfect gesture of love and appreciation. Hug your best friend today, just to let them know that you love and acknowledge their presence in your life.

6. Dance party

Opting to spend the night in with your girlfriends and a killer Spotify playlist shows that, for you, it isn't about where you go, only who you're with.

7. Be a helping hand

Sometimes, the best way to tell someone you truly care about them is to help them in accomplishing something. Mothers love to be appreciated in this way by their children. It's like saying, "I see how hard you're working, and I want to help you because you're important to me."

8. Ask their opinion

People love to feel needed, so ask your mom how to get the stains out of your laundry, or ask your dad how to change your tires; then let them know that their help is everything to you, because without them, you'd be lost.

9. Compliment them

Don't stick to simple physical or appearance-based compliments. Dig deep. Tell someone you love that you appreciate their laughter or that their joy in infectious. Grab someone you care about and tell them how they've made your life better in every single way. Thank them for their beautiful existence.

10. Pick them flowers

Taking the time out of your day to hand pick a few flowers for a loved one shows that you think of them often, and even see pieces of them reflected to you throughout the world.

11. Ice cream date

Buy a couple pints of Ben and Jerry's and spend some time giggling with the person you most care about. Let them know that regardless of the hassles of life, they are the best moment of your day.

12. Just say it

Sometimes a quiet 'thank you' is all they need to hear.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
