"If you had a friend you knew you'd never see again, what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love, what would it be? Say it. Do it. Don't wait. Nothing lasts forever." This is a quote from my favorite TV show One Tree Hill, and let me tell you it has stuck with me. Everybody (including myself) always waits around until the time seems adequate, but in reality there never really is a right time. For all you know today could be your last day, so why not make it count. Never go to sleep without telling the people you love that you love them. Don't let things go unsaid, because if anything ever happened you would regret it for the rest of your life. That's the thing,everybody thinks they have all this time but before you know it the time is gone and you're left to wonder when your life passed by. Life is so unpredictable and the worst thing is watching people waste it doing things that make them unhappy. The time you and every other person has on this earth is like a hourglass, once it runs out of sand you can't flip it back over.
Things happen so unexpectedly and sudden and sometimes you just don't get the proper chance to say everything you needed to say. So please make sure you end every conversation letting a person know exactly how you feel. Please give your grandparents a hug whenever you leave them. Please let your little brother know you love him, even if he's too cool to say it back. Every moment you are given is a blessing. Take advantage of the time you have and do things that make you happy. Surround yourself with people that make you happy. Be somewhere that makes you happy. I am so tired of everyone waiting around to do things because it might not work out. What if it does work out? You have to take risks sometimes and even though it might be horrifying in the end its better than wondering "what if". It's a pretty common thing to think about what you would do if you were told you were dying. So think about that sometime and do those things. Don't wait around until the moment comes that you find out you need to do those things, or you never even get the opportunity to do those things. You are alive and you are breathing. You are lucky. Savor the time you have and don't waste one second. Life is short and then you die. Say what you need to say and do what you need to do before it's too late.
