Hello everyone, I decided to go to the movie theaters to watch the movie "Sausage Party." The reason why I decided to go because I love watching cartoon movies. I went to the movies thinking it was going to be funny like the movie "Sponge Bob: Sponge Out of the Water" or "The Secret Life of Pets." Boy, was I wrong! First of all, I didn't know this movie was rated R till I got to the theater. That was my first hint about how this movie was going to be. I asked a woman who worked there why was the movie R rated? She responded by telling me that the movie featured a lot of cursing and children shouldn't be watching. My second hint was when my girlfriend told me that they were cursing even in the commercials. In my head, I thought, "that's new." The woman was right: children shouldn't be watching movies with cursing characters. In my head when she told me, I was thinking, "It never stopped Sponge Bob in his movies and kids/parents still love him." I know if I was thinking that, parents were too and were still going to let their kids watch "Sausage Party." I was right, but this women failed to tell me what I was in for and forgot to tell the parents as well. Five minutes into the movie, everybody watching the movie was so amazed, including the parents who brought their children. As a matter of fact, the parents who brought their kids to see the movies were so amazed that they decided to pick up their snacks, bags and kids storm out the movie theaters to get their money back. Which inspired these tips.
1. Research the movie before you watch it.
I like I said earlier in the article, I went the movies not knowing that it was rated R. SnapChat promoted like it was a kid movie to me because of the filter. I assumed what I assumed and it had seeing stuff in the movie that had me AMAZED. Like I really didn't know what to do with my life next. Didn't know if I wanted to eat trash instead or go get some help. So please research the movie so you can know what to expect.
2. Don't bring children to the party.
Now the title of the movie "Sausage Party" should have been my first hint on how the movie was going to be. The title is dirty like the movie that's why it's rated R. So please parents or guardians, unless you want your kids trying to find their G spot with their food or trying to have them see what happens if they put their sausage in the bun after the movie, spare them. This generation already got some new ideas and habits that don't make sense, let's not give them another one that we wouldn't understand. Minors are not suppose to see this movie, so let's not let them see it or we'll open up a can of worms.
3. Look at the actors starring in the movie.
If you ever saw the movies "Super Bad," "Pineapple Express," "Tropic Thunder," "Bridesmaids" and "40 Year Old Virgin," you already know what kind of movie you in for. The actors who featured in those movies were insane. They always did the unexpected in those movies. You couldn't tell what happened next. They made me laugh so hard in those movies I almost made a number three. The actors starring in this movie are Seth Rogan, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd and more. I'm not going to tell what character they played because their personality shine through their characters and you will be able to identify them if you are huge fans of the movies I named above.
4. Pay attention to the context.
In "Sausage Party," there are some scenes that are just foul. You'll know what I'm talking when you watch it. Like I thought I seen movies that have a lot of racial jokes, a lot of sexual tension and jokes and a lot of cursing. This movie made me realize that haven't seen nothing like this. The movie is more funny if you understand all the jokes and scenes, so keep your eyes and ears open so you can enjoy the movie.
5. Don't see this movie alone.
When I went to see this movie, I was with my girlfriend. Everybody else in the theater brought someone to watch it. It doesn't have a be a significant other, it can be a friend, cousin, sister, brother or anyone that's 18 or older. I can honestly say, if I didn't have anyone to watch it with me, everything would have been awkward and confusing. I wouldn't know if I should laugh or smile or if I should just be quiet and pretend like I didn't hear that. I know that can happen because it happened to me before, so to avoid that, please go see the movie with a somebody. It helps you react better.
6. Check yourself before you go.
If you are a person with a sense of humor who laughs at many different jokes, this movie might be for you. If you are person who don't laugh much and only laugh when you get caught doing something wrong, save your time. It's a lot of things wrong with this movie, that's why it's funny. You might be really mad if you see a movie this vacuous. Don't go because your significant other or friend told you to. Go because you want to see what this movie is about and expect to see the unexpected.
7. You shouldn't eat while watching this film.
This is a food movie, you should all know. Watching this movie made me realize things I didn't know food could do. In the movie, they could do some weird crazy things, but in real life I don't think stuff like that could really happen unless you are probably really high off of bath salts. If you see what the food is going through in this movie and you think about you are currently doing while watching the movie, like eating a hot dog or chips like I did during the movie, your appetite is going to die fast. Especially with the sex scenes I definitely didn't expect to see in this movie. You really will be disgusted to the point you might start thinking deep, like you probably ate more than a hot dog during the movie. That's scary a thought so eat before the movie. Now I know there's going to be a greedy person or a couple of greedy people at the theater who are going to be eating like they don't have food at home. So before you eat your food, please check it before you eat it.
8. Spread the word.

After watching "Sausage Party," I texted my mom and dad to say, and I quote, "...make sure Keshon and Serenity don't watch sausage party. I feel like I watched food porn." Which were my true feelings and I had to let him know so my brother and sister aren't poisoned by it. I live with them so I don't want them to seduce their food. I also don't want people to think that are in for just another cartoon movie because that is not what this is. This is REALLY an adult cartoon film that suppose to watched when your kids are sleep.
