Sarah is strong. Sarah is beautiful. Sarah is a pianist, a dog lover, a music nerd, a news junkie, a Ball State Cardinal, a daughter and a Kappa Delta sister. Sarah is not cancer.
At age 21 and in her senior year, Sarah Stockton was diagnosed with breast cancer. Not only that, but the cancer had also spread to her lymph nodes. Now, along with her senior year celebrations, she must go through chemotherapy and plan for future surgeries.
Sarah held the position as Vice President of Community Service on the Panhellenic Council. She is president of Lambda Pi Eta, a communication studies association. She excels on the debate team. She will be involved in the future of public policy. But she is not cancer.
In recent weeks since her diagnosis, there has been an outpouring of well-deserved love from Sarah’s sisters, friends, family, and peers. Through Crowdrise, a site raising funds for great causes, the Zeta Kappa chapter of Kappa Delta has raised $5,275 to assist Sarah with her medical bills.
Alli Eisenhut is also a senior Kappa Delta sister at Ball State.
"Sarah is that person who, when she talks to you, she treats you like the most important person in the world. She is so genuine and is one of the most positive people I know. For someone who has been there for so many others and does so much to make our community better, it is great to see so many people return the favor and help Sarah," said Eisenhut.
With love, support, and strength, Sarah can overcome cancer. Check out Sarah’s story, leave her a motivating message, or donate at https://www.crowdrise.com/SarahCancervive/fundrais...
