It needs to be said: It's time we stop treating Samsung phones like garbage. Just because iPhone's get a huge reputation just for being an Apple product, that doesn't make Samsung's any less of a good phone. In fact, studies show that there are actually more Samsung users in the country than iPhone users. For years (and I mean YEARS), I was a Samsung user. And i loved it. But on my birthday this year, I got an iPhone as a gift. At first it felt like some sort of betrayal, but I decided to see what all the hoopla was about the beloved iPhone device. Here are some thoughts I had...
1. Mass merchandiser. Nothing more than a vehicle for capitalism. Overrated.
2. Why are there so many apps on the homepage when I didn't download anything yet?
3. Stocks. There's an app for Stocks. Why do I need a Stocks app when I'm 21 years old?
4. Wait, I can't get rid of the Stocks app? It's just going to be on my phone forever taking up space and there's nothing I can do about it???
5. Hmm, free radio...i guess that's cool.
6. Well this camera is pretty good, nice selfie range- OMG panoramics!!!
7. Why do all these apps cost money? Wait, why were none of these apps available on Android?
8. Why do I need a "Find my iPhone" app? I have my phone in my hand, I think i know where my iPhone is. Is this app specifically for stalking other people with iPhones?
9. No, I'm not interested in the Health app. I want to eat crap and not feel guilty about it!
10. Cool, these text messages are all colorful!
11. OMG this text bubble. This thing is evil.
12. THIS THING MAKES MY PICTURES INTO A SLIDESHOW!!!
13. These software updates take For. ev. er.
14. But this battery life is A. maz. ing.
15. Welp, thank God I can finally get my photos on my Mac without waiting hours.
16. Wait, so they can se when I read their texts? So they know when I read it and don't text them back? That's evil!
17. Ugh, she read my text and didn't text me back! Jerk!
18. I miss my Android, but this phone is really pretty.
19. Oh fine. The iPhone is pretty cool.
20. And at the very least, it doesn't blow up like the S7.
And there you have it! The age old question of iPhone or Android is...not quite answered. Fact of the matter is, they both have their pros and cons. Both of them are great phones, but neither one is perfect. So my advice to everyone is give each of these phones a chance and decide for yourself. You might be surprised by how much you like both, despite their different features. And now that companies aren't charging for data overages, go ahead. Go phone crazy. I dare ya.
