Why Do You Hurry So?

When we rush a process, it will simply fall apart.

We all have dreams that we wish would come true.

We all have desires that we crave with every beat of our heart.

We all have millions of ideas in our head, waiting to be created.

Yet more often than not, they never become anything but false dreams and false hopes.

These ideas, desires, and dreams never enter the physical world.

So comes the question: do we really want this?!

Is it futile to even think of it?

Why want something so bad that you would never do anything to make it true?

We need to start making steps to get what we want.

No matter how long the process is, you have to continue on. There is no need to rush, nor is there need to move at a staggering pace.

I know this next sentence must sound contradicting, however, it may help someone who is going after something they have waited so long to do, yet finds themselves at standstill. This person might find themselves frozen unable to move after going for what they want. This person may have started changing their lives for the better. They are finally going after what they want, yet at the same time they are rushing it; they have crossed the bridge without sparing a second glance at anything else.

Because of this, they are faced with many realities; in front of them is what they want yet they are unable to turn the knob.

My advice for those who have their desires and are making them a reality a warning for you and an advice...

We simply must not rush things to happen. Yes, you may have waited many years for it to occur, however, things must never be rushed--it should go at its own pace.

What happens when we rush?

We miss things; the small details that could bring everything together. The signs in which would help guide us.

When we rush we forget things, we dive into something that we have longed for however we are unprepared for it. When you skip steps to create, your creation will not last long, it will quickly crumble. How will you get help when you don't know how to retrace your steps? You are frozen in the situation you have created for yourself.

The reason why we take these cautionary steps is to solidfiy our future, to prepare ourselves for what is to come and for what we want. For when we finally reach our destination, we will be prepared for whatever unknown we face.

I may or may not know how bad of yearning you have, however, I can tell you this: we do not wish to see you fall, we do not wish to see you stuck with fear. We want you to grow, we want you get everything that this world has to offer. But be still because time is what we have. Our time is not granted for long; the great next adventure will claim us some sooner than later. However, you must live every second of the day, do not rush things because there is no time. So enjoy what time you do have.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
