Make The Decision To Rush The Colony

The transition from a high school graduate to a college freshman is filled with choices. Many people find themselves deciding whether or not they would like to join a fraternity or other organizations. These choices are things that will affect the next few years of their life. Some people want to branch out and try new things; while others want to get out as soon as possible.

Joining organizations on your campus can be very beneficial. They help you meet new people, try new things, and break out of your shell. Many people want to join fraternities and sororities on their campus. When the decision comes to rush, more often than not, people already have their minds made up on where they want to go. Although the most important thing you can do is keep your mind open.

Every university has chapters that already have great reputations for the best parties, biggest chapter or being around the longest. But that does not mean that they should be your only option. There could be an up-and-coming chapter right around the corner.

Colonies are potential chapters on university campuses . They are often viewed as the underdog because their future is uncertain. They have not had as much of a chance to gain a reputation compared to other chapters. Most of the members are not initiated and they may not be as popular. Although they may have a few drawbacks, they have so much potential.

Despite the judgments of other charted chapters, joining a colony is one of the best decisions you can make. The chapter's future and reputation is in your hands. You are able to mold your chapter into whatever you want it to be. You can create new traditions, start new events, and meet people from all over the country who are supporting you and your future chapter.

Although starting a new chapter is not for everyone, you can learn so much about yourself and your brothers. It will not always be an easy road, but in the end you will have left your mark on your campus. When the colony receives its charter, everyone will be excited. This marks a new beginning for everyone. You will be able to look forward to a bright and long future.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
