You're scrolling through your social media feeds and all you see are cute couples posting pictures from their vacation, pumpkin patch visits, and every other thing they've done together lately, and all you can think about is how single you are. It's hard to be alone sometimes when it seems like everyone around you has someone, but being single isn't so bad, especially knowing that God has handpicked someone so special for you that just hasn't come around just yet, gives you all the more reason to want to wait.
We see people going through the heartbreak of breaking up, calling off weddings or worse getting divorced every day and then later down the road finding someone that makes them so happy that they wondered how they were ever without them. You want that kind of love. The kind of love that only God can bless you with. A person who loves you so fiercely that it's like every time they hug or kiss you, you melt. That's why being patient is the key to finding the love you long for.
Maybe this person is your best friend, maybe it's your worst enemy, or maybe you haven't even met them yet, but be patient. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-10 explains love perfectly and you should never settle. It says "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist in its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong doing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away."
Your special someone is out there and probably waiting for you to show up in their lives as well. God's timing is never wrong. It may take a while and it may take a couple more heartbreaks or bumps in the road to go through but you learn more with each one and grow more into the person God thinks you should be before he gives you your person. He's busy shaping you both into who you need to be for success and happiness together.
So don't settle for the partial and wait for the perfect because your person is out there and they can't wait to love you.
